Title, Artist Not Showing Up On CD
When I get ready to burn an audio CD, I fill out the area of the Nero tab where you can type the title, artist and copyright of the CD that you are going to burn. However, this information does not showing up on the CD. Why?

I'm trying to break-up hand made mixed CD's that have several cuts combined into one long track that I can only fast forward through. I have downloaded Butcher softwear that I was told can do this. Is there anyone out there that might be able to give me a simple step by step tutorial on this thing. There doesn't seem to be much help on the softwear.....Thanx

I am trying to burn my wav files (produced in Cubase VST)and it continually distorts. I have tried rerecording the original files at lower levels, lowering the volume, normalisation, everything I can think of. The wav files play fine, I burn them onto CD (CDR, not CDRW - I've read enough articles that say for audio don't use CDRW), and Nero tells me it's successful. If I test it in a stereo it sounds find, on the computer through the CD-ROM - it distorts. I had a friend test it on their computer as well, and it distorted there as well. Both out machines are quite powerful and up to date. Please can anyone help??
Are there optimum settings I can check? Using the Nero WAV editor it shows the wav files are within limits, not clipping at all, so I don't understand why it keeps distorting.

If you read through all these posts, as I have, you will notice that there are very few questions that anyone can answer.
Nero has many, many, many technical problems that make it extremely difficult and frustrating to try to use and extremely few of them can be answered or fixed.
Ahead software doesn't care whether you can use it, now that they have your money. They won't answer your questions and neither can anyone else.
Nero is trash and Ahead is a pack of theives.

problems burning mp3 to cd
When burning mp3's with nero, everything seems going well at first sight. The burning process is completed successfully, but when i insert the copied disc in my stereo, it doesn't recognize the songs. However, my computer can read the copied audio cd. I've tried everything, even to decode the MP3's to 'wav'.
Can anyone solve this problem? Thanx

yea i had the same problem and it's because your stereo probably doesnt read cd-r cds. some players do, some players dont. if you have a playstation, it'll work on that....

Trouble reading copied decoded audio cd's
when i burn my mp3-files as audio-format with NERO everything seems to work fine, no error messages at all. But when i put this cd in my stereo it won't read it. However, as I look in windows explorer, the songs are really burnt on the cd.

It's a conspiracy in the industry
First; I think it's worthwhile to point out how long this question has been posted here without any attempts at an answer. I think that's indicative of what it's like to use Nero. Nobody seems to give a rat's a$$ whether you can use it, as long as Ahead already has your money.
Second; if your stereo is more than a few months old it won't play CDR. The electronics industry deliberately changes internal formating so that every time a "new" tech is introduced you are forced to buy all new hardware.
Now that you've been duped into buying a CDRW and buying CD writing software, you'll have to buy a new CD player for your stereo, a new walkman to hang on your belt, a new CD deck for your car, etc.. Otherwise your freinds will call you a dinosaur and you won't get laid.

You can't burn or copy dvds without a dvd burner. Nero will do It but you will need a dvd burner. They cost like $500 or more for a good one.

burning dvd with cdrw dirve on cdr disk
I put my cd-r disk in my cdrw drive to copy a dvd with hp's cd copyer and when i put my dvd in my other rom drive it says there is no media typ on the disk should i try copying it with nero?
also do i need a dvd-rom drive to copy dvd's or will it work with my normal cd-drive and rw-drive?
p.s.
nero works well to make video disks that play fine on my dvd player

Nero burner 5.5.2.3 data mode 1
Hi,
Can any body tell if it is possible also use the Data mode 1 of Nero. When I use the wizard and go to the read option Tab I see data mode 1 and data mode 2. I only can select data mode 2. So if anyone can tell me how to select data mode 1 I'm very happy.

I have got the following problem. Every time I start Nero my machine freezes under win 2000 Professiona.
My drive is a Traxdata 8432, which is similar to the Philips...whatever Drive.
Does anyone know what to so to geth the shit running again?

The nero software doesn't allow me to use my HP cd-writer, when I try to enable it a message says that nero is for creative recorders only, what can I do?

I HAVE GOT NERO BURNGING ROM INTALLED ON MY PC IT WILL COPY CD'S BUT I HAVE DOWNLOADING SOME TRACKS FROM PLAY J'S DOWNLOADS AND WHEN I TRY TO COPY THEM TO C D IT KEEPS SAYING UNEXPECTED FORMAT AND WILL NOT LET ME DRAG AND DROP I HAVE TRYED CHANGING THE FORMAT TO WAV FILE BUT IT STILL DOES NOT WORK. CD-R errors????
I have a Mitsumi 4X write burner and I've been using the NTI software that came w/ the burner for about a year now. I purchased some new cd's 80min instead of the 74 min I use to use. I haven't been able to get the drive to recognize the cd's; it keeps coming up w/ medium error insert a blank disc into the target drive. The CD-R's are Verbatims premium for music, video, data etc... I tried using the Nero Burning Rom software (demo)5.5 and it just comes up w/ the error that my target drive and source drive are both on the same IDE controller.. which they are, but I never had any problems in the past recording MP'3s or audio cd's directly to a CD-R. Any suggestions???

TO BURN A VCD FOR A DVD PLAYER FIRST YOU NEED A VCD COMPATIBLE DVD PLAYER. IF YOU ALREADY HAVE ONE JUST DOWNLOAD THE SOFTWARE FROM KAZAA. I USE ULEAD DVD WORKSHOP, IT WILL LET YOU CONVERT A FILE TO DVD, VCD OR SVCD GOOD LUCK

use Xing Mpeg encoder to convert Avi to Mpeg and then use Nero to burn as VCD.

if you want to make vcd's use nero to make em most of the stuff for vcd's on nero works on most dvd players if it doesn't than you just have a really old player and need a new one

time have change and so with the software... my best bet is easy cd creator 5 by roxio they have a option with a step by step wizard that show you all the step just drag the movie clip whichever file type they are and follow the instruction the software does the rest. also it would help if you have a dvd player that plays vcd/cd-r/rw

i'm pretty sure it has to be in mpeg1 format for nero to arrange the files. as a matter of fact, i believe that is the only format that works on vcd's-- period.
poor quality,no support,from ricoh
Bought a Ricoh burner from Amazon.com and it came with the Nero 5.0 software worked ok for ahwile with the usual error messages but had a hardware problem and had to uninstall the software. Now it wont let me reinstall it.....it gets to the point of aking for the serial number but will not highlight"NEXT" to let you continue. Called Ricoh, they basically said tough shit it wasnt their software and cant get help from Germany either. Anyone no a serial number password for 5.0 that may work???/

IF YOU DONE HAVE A NEW serial number
You need to clean your Windows registry and delete all NERO application from your hard drive.
This is very danger to play around with windows registry but it will help to correct the problem. There are 2 places holding the key for NERO BURNER application in your windows. One is in HKEY_CURRENT_USER and the other in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE
TO DO THIS
run regedit.exe, export your full windows registry and delete NERO KEYS.
To EXPORT.
You highline the top root of your registry (usually MY COMPUTER), click REGISTRY on menu bar and EXPORT REGISTRY FILE... . (Give it a name and remember where you place it). Make sure you have a complete backup of your Windows registry.
To delete NERO KEYS.
Highline HKEY_CURRENT_USER, click EDIT on menu and FIND.. or CTRL + F. Key in AHEAD. When it find AHEAD key (it should be show MY_COMPUTER\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software in Status bar at bottom of the Regedit.exe screen). While AHEAD been highline, press delete and confirm with yes to confirm box. You and to do the same for HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE (same Procedure as HKEY_CURRENT_USER)
After you done all the above, you will be able to reinstall NERO BRUNER

trouble burning mp3 cd's to audio format
Every time i burn a cd of mp3 the last 3 tracks always stutter and distort, ive tried burning with 2x speed with no effect. Can anybody help me ??

I purchased the product for a Sony Spressa and after installation the Nero burner would not work. I ask for a refund and Nero said no that it supported Sony. Since they are overseas I could not cancel credit order or refuse payment.

I also have the Spressa (CRX100E)and Nero
(5.5.0.3). MOST of the time I can copy cd's
but have ruined at least a dozen cdr's using Nero.
It is really clunky in it's operation. Sometimes
it will burn at 4x sometimes only at 1x. It has
also locked up the computer during the burn.
