Every so often when I'm making an Audio CD, this "*" appears next to the track number. What exactly is that?
need help
Ok, here's the thing...I want to burn a saying from a movie for a drama project. For my cheerleading competition my coach burned a saying from Remember the Titans on a CD so it must be possible! I have no clue how to do it! Does anyone know? Remember...i don't wanna burn like the actual movie to view a part...i want to burn an audio part of a dvd movie. Any advice would be great! ~<*THANX*>~
Re: need help
The easiest way to do that is:
1) Open up a audio recording program. There's the Sound Recorder that comes with Windows (you may have to install it from the CD). Preferably, you'd use an audio recording program that can record specific channels like Creative Lab's Creative Recorder, but Sound Recorder will do.
2) Play the Movie.
3) Click record on the Audio Recording program. Save the clip you get. You may need to edit this clip to remove any unwanted parts. Repeat until all memorable saying recorded.
4) Burn as audio CD using Nero or similar.

How can I record only some songs directly from CD to CDR w/o hav
Which program will let me record only some of the songs on a disc to a cdr directly from CD ROM drive to CDW drive?
I need the steps and not just which program since I have tried with three and nothing? I don't want to have to record to hard drive first. I can do this from disc to disc but only when copying the whole disc. Yuk! Please email answer to:

How do I burn mp3s larger than 50mb?
Hi!
Whenever I try to burn large mp3s that are on my harddrive Nero
freezes while examining it before putting it on the to burn list.
A friend mentioned a plugin may be required to do so. It's not like
my system is overcharged. I just want to burn those darn DJ mixes!
Thanks a lot.

You go into Nero, click "File", then "Burn Image". Double-click on your .bin file. Then click "Raw Data" in the popup that appears, then "Ok". The files will be burned onto the CD.

Unsupported audio wave format
Goal: To burn audio cd of other than standard 44.1kHz 16 bit mp3 files.
Source: Original source is streaming audio (talk program) from Real Audio.
Recorder used: Total Recorder from High Criteria.
I record the program off real audio fine and save as MP3 (I've tried WAV also with same problem). Total recorder allows me to save MP3 files under a variety of sample rates in either mono or stereo. However, and this is the problem, the only rate accepted by burning software for an audio cd is 44.1 kHz 16 bit. This sampling rate is not available as an option in the recording setup. Therefore, I end up with perfectly good .mp3 or .wav files able to play back or record as a data CD...but when I try to make an audio CD I get the dredded "unsupported audio wave format".
What to do? What to do?
It seems there should be a work around, or conversion software to change to the acceptable sampling rate so one can burn an audio CD from other than standard mp3 files.
audio cd play in my stereo but won't play on my pc
My pc is carry's a DVD drive, An eight 8X CD writer, which are new products, but I can't seem to understand why one particular audio CD will play all 26 tracks in my stereo while pc only recongises the first track. please help
Re: Unsupported audio wave format
I have the same problem using prassi primocd plus as well as ez cd creator (the former gives that "wrong format" message, the latter just crashes). The mp3s Im trying to burn are audio books. After much searching I learned that scaling the bitrate up and going to stereo is not possible unless you have the original. There are about a billion proggies that will scale down for space saving but none that scale upwards. If you have heard of a solution PLEASE email me as I have tons of books that can't be burned:(

Mixed mode cds
When I put data and audio onto a Cd my HiFi detects the data as track one and plays white noise, then plays the CD without any bother? I've used mixed mode and burnt with disc at once and track at once and it is the same. Should I open a CD as a data CD, not finilize it, then add audio? If so, what the hell is mixed mode on there for? Help.

First go to www.megagames.com and download the crack that lets you play age of emp. without a cd Second insert the cd you want to copy then right click and go to explore copy all the contents of the cd to a desired empty folder and make a data cd and put all those contents onto your blank cd with the crack from megagames that lets you play without the cd and launch the cd!!

Go to my helpsite - link is below - and in the MP3-CD section, you'll find info you need.
Look for CDex.

Backups
Having trouble trying to do a backup with Nero. I can do 1 backup on a CDRW fine and save the backup job. But, if you put the same CDRW in ,say the next day, and do file, open , and open the saved backup file it won't let you. It says something about needing the CDRW the original was on, even though that's the CDRW in the writer already....screwy if you ask me. The only way to fix it is to create an entirely new backup each time. Any Suggestions GREATLY appreciated.
