Software Description

CloneCD is the perfect tool to make backup copies of your music and data CDs, regardless of copy protection. CloneCD's award-winning user interface allows you to copy almost any CD in just a few mouse clicks.

Since the release of 5.0, CloneCD is not only able to copy CDs but also most DVD formats, such as DVD-R, DVD-RW, DVD+R, DVD+RW, DVD+R Dual Layer and DVD-RAM. The movies are copied 1:1 and therefore not modified (compressed). Note that to copy movie DVDs you also require AnyDVD.

CloneCD also works with other formats such as ISO and UDF files and copies CDs/DVDs with the new SafeDisc 3 Copy Protection System. CloneCD allows you to create perfect 1:1 copies of your valuable original compact discs. Should your copy-protected music CD not play in your car audio, the backup created by CloneCD will.

Great News!!!!

I found aa place to download DvDeo! Follow these steps...

1. go to http://www.kazaa.com
2. download the KaZaA program and install it
3. open KaZaA and choose a sreen name
4. click the search button towards the top of the screen
5. click software
6. type in "dvd rip" and hit enter/return
7. a list should come up with all kinds of dvd ripping software
8. double-click the file that says DvDeo
9. click the traffic buttton at the top of the screen (next to search)
10. watch your file download
11. unzip the file and install
12. start making dvds...

You can go through all that or you can Download SmartRipper to rip the dvd to ur hard drive. Then use DVD Copy Plus to convert the dvd to VCD or SVCD This Program will aslo burn the dvd for you if u like but i prefer using Nero Burning Rom to burn.

What i do is download the movie from kaaza(download kaaza to get anything)then burn the movie as a data disc and the dvd player will read the disc if you have the vcd feature on your dvd

yes the toshiba sd-r1002 is a good reader.
sounds like your trying to make a backup of a pc game.let the read errors go clone cd will deal with them. start clone cd,goto help ,look up requirements it tells you that sd-r1002 writes sao and reads sub channel data and audio at raw+96.session at once is the worst writing setting but thats all the sd-r1002 supports.so you will need a better writer (ricoh mp 7163a(atapi)writer)the reading part of the sd-r1002 is the best supported mode. so use the toshiba for reading discs and the ricoh for writing them.the read errors are the protection on the cd they usually start at sector 0 and go up to 10003 then clone cd will read rest of disc.clone cd will duplicate the read errors on the begining of the cd in the writing process this is vital for the cd to work. search internet for copy protection of cds search (CLONYXL,COPY PROTECTION UTILITIES)
