Software Description
Impulse Tracker is a revolutionary new music tracker under development in South Australia by Jeffrey Lim (Pulse/PoP). It is quite similar to the popular Scream Tracker by Future Crew, and is therefore quite easy to learn. Features:
- MOD, MTM, S3M and IT compatibility.
- Supports the following sound devices:
- Sound Blaster
- Sound Blaster Pro
- Sound Blaster 16
- Sound Blaster AWE 32
- Gravis UltraSound
- Pro Audio Spectrum
- Pro Audio Spectrum 16
- Interwave
- PC Speaker
- DAC on LPT
- Easy to-use, familiar Scream Tracker 3 style interface.
- Direct control over 64 channels.
- Maximum of 256 internal channels for greater sound quality, using NNAs (New Note Actions); Full panning (on SBPro, SB16 and GUS).
- Stereo Surround (on SBPro and SB16).
- Variable pattern lengths.
- Full block functions available (across-channel also!)
- Volume envelopes.
- Ping Pong loops and sustain loops for samples.
- Global volumes for channels and samples.
- Templates.
- Now with S3M saver, instrument I/O, and extra panning controls in the volume column!
- As of version 1.04, support for 16 bit samples, and samples greater than 64k!
- As of version 2.0, added panning and pitch envelopes.
Impulse Tracker
I would like to say that IT is the best tracker I have ever used on any system. I used to use an amiga and octomed which only had 4 tracks. These new easy windows trackers are crap because you can not change the pitch or the sample by touching the keyboard. It would be more brill if there was a windows 95 version. This would make the product more popular

IT is possibly the world's best tracker, up to date. I am a music composer and have released a CD. Most of the songs on that CD were tracked using Impulse Tracker. It's more sophisticated than FT, sounds better than Scream Tracker, yet with the same easy to use interface.

hello I was wondering if someone could help me... I cannot get IT to recognize my soundcard.
I have the SB Live! card and am running WIN98se...
I have read and researched everything... talked to ASUS, Creative, and even Mr. Lim...
I have not come to any major conclusions, so if someone can help that'd be great! I am so sick of limited possibilities with ReBirth... and tired of Dream Station........ THANKS

Ok then,, I also wan't to record some music from IT,,
And the only way to do that is by using the DISKWRITER option,,, And I can't get that one to work,, Why??.. IT /Sitwav.drv
That's the right way?? (I think,,)
Because I can't record music with a wav recorder from windows,,
Have yot some information about this Diskwriter??
