Two Questions
Where do I find: Disable write cache to stop skips and am I supposed to pay the toll that shows up in the lower right hand corner of the player?
Re: Goldwave and musicians
Hey..
Ahh me and a friend use goldwaver sometimes. We get some hiphop acapellas and instrumentals as well as some sounds and whatnot and we put together some pretty sick remixes.
: Hallo.
: I'm an italian student and I'm trying to write a paper about the interface of Golwave.
: I really would like to know if someone of you employ this program to create some track of "music".
: I know, this is not a sequencer, but I've tried to use it to "built up" some electronic-industrial-ambient-noise song without using any sequencer or other sound editors.
: Does anyone of you tried to create some "song" by using Goldwave?
: Ok, sorry for the mistakes and thank for your answers.

When you open a new file you should see a dialog
where you can enter the amount of recording time you need.

After selecting "New
After selecting "New Project", Go to Options / Control Properties. Click on the Volume tab. In here you will see in the lower left "Ubounded". Click this option and then "Apply". This allows unlimited recording time.
You're welcome.

EXCELLENT PROGRAM!
Have been using various versions of GoldWave for
several years, under Windows 3.1, 95, and 98.
GoldWave is my default utility for most mono and stereo
audio work. It has proved an effective, reliable,
and intuitive audio editing program for:
- editing custom audio-for-video sound bites
- creating live perfomance samples and sound f/x
- audio prep for AVI and MPEG video files
- quick and easy 2-track audio recording
- audio CD premastering
- sound file format conversion
I love everything about GoldWave, except:
- only supports up to two tracks
- does not support DirectX audio plug-ins
- no support for SMPTE or MIDI time code
- no realtime effects processing or preview
Given these limitations, GoldWave is an excellent
addition to your digital audio tool kit!
