Software Description

you can use fireburner or CDRwin(which likes ot eat discs) but the easiest way for me is to convert it to iso first using bin2iso from here http://users.andara.com/~doiron/bin2iso/ it's a dos prompt version. Theres a win32 version floating around but it really sucks, 1/2 the time the images are bad. With the dos version I've yet to have problems. If you need some help gimme a hollar.

CD's have line after line of data that a CD-ROM or CD player reads. Sony purposely has imbedded bad sectors on the Playstation CDs so that the Playstation is the only one that can understand it. You have to have a special program that runs with your burner to place those on the CD. You just have to look for it.

I burned both parasite eve 2 and vagrant story with no problem. You might want to try using cdrwin, this is the preferred software to use for burning playstation games, just the demo will do. Then try extracting the .cue and .bin files in your burner at 1x and the same for burning as well. There is also a great tutorial at www.madpsx.com.

try "disc juggler" . its a software program that i had success with my yamaha of the same model. advice: dont burn any faster than 6x speed and shut off your screen saver.

Thank GOD, I finally found someone who has the same CD-RW as me! Ok, I lost my drivers for mine, so my drive won't work, and I've been looking for someone who could give them to me, thank you!!! In return for your drivers, I'll help ya fix your sound quality when you burn with it. =) Just in case you don't know how to find the drivers, first go to the "My Computer" Icon and right click on it. Go to properties, and that should bring up a "System properties" window. Click on the "Device Manager" tab, and then double-click on the CDROM section of that window. It should show you all the CD-ROMs you have on your computer. Click on the SAF CD-RW4424A, and then click properties. Another window will come up, and click on the "Drivers" tab. This will give you a list of all of the drivers. I'm not sure what they are called since i don't have them, but right EVERY file name down. Next, close all of the windows and go to your start button, then "search", then "files and folders". From there, type in the name of those files, one by one, and do a search for them on your C:\ drive. When the computer finds the file, simply right click on it, then "copy" it. Then, right click on your desktop, and click "Paste". After you've done this will all of the drivers you wrote down, send them to PykoCykhan@hotmail.com in file attachments. I'll get RIGHT back to ya with how to fix your sound quality! Thanks for all the help!!
