Software Description

Awave Studio is a multi-purpose audio tool that reads 300 audio file formats from different platforms, synthesizers, trackers, mobile phones, ... - It can be used in a variety of ways - as a file format converter, as an audio editor, or as a synth instrument editor. Features include conversion, creation, editing, and emulation of synthesizer instruments, MIDI SDS and SCSI SMDI transfers, reading of non-Windows compatible AKAI, Kurzweil and Roland CD-ROM's and floppy disks, conversion of mobile phone ring signals, CD-ripping, simple MIDI editing, song playback, batch conversion, and sound recording. Supported file formats include synthesizers from Roland, Yamaha, AKAI, EMU, Korg, SampleCell, various trackers, mobile phones, et c, et c. There are alot of different softwares you can use to do this. I personally use Cool Edit, also there are turorials on the net if you do a search on how to remove vocals from mp3s (or whatever format you want it removed from). Hope this helps.

I am a composer-arranger not well versesd in pc use.I'm lost. Is there a book out there that is simple enough to teach me how to transcribe my compositions and or arrangements on to the computer then on to paper for reading. Sibelius was given as a gift from my pupils. I'm in the throes of having my work published and I would like to send publishers a nice clean copy instsead of manuscript. Difficult for me to write as I have parkinson's. Can anyone help?????

Where do you live? i know a lot about sibelius.

Did something stupid, need to convert files for CD burner

Not sure how I did it, but had downloaded files from net, saved them to seperate folder, and then used Easy CD Creator to burn audio CD"s. All of a sudden, I couldn't get to all my files. When I found "show all files" most of my songs are now in a format that CD burner won't recognize for audio. Is there a way or freeware that I can use to convert all of these to a MP3 format so I can burn them? New at this, so I am sure I screwed up somewhere but would sure hate to try and download all of this stuff again. Any Help will be greatly appreciated, thanks.

Make sure that you have all files selected when in the open file box, or it cdc will not recognize any files.

You need AWave Studio. I don't have the link but you can search for it.

Also you need BladeEnc.exe plugin.
Also RealAudio add on for Awave-family. You can download this from AWave site.

The Sound Forge XP Studio 5.0 from http://www.sonicfoundry.com/ really helped!
You can encode .mpa files to .mp3 or .wav
But the software comes only as trial (demo version)
