I make backup copies of my karaoke CDs all the time. I use a program called "Clone CD". This program will let you know if your CD Burner is capable of reading and writing the data we know as CD+G. The following link will get you to their homepage:

You can download a demo copy that is fully functional for 21 days and only costs $45 if you decide to buy. It is extremely simple to use. (A total no brainer)
The main difficulty with copying CD+G data is finding a burner that has this capability. Here are a few that I have tested and work fine, always available, and don't cost too much.
Any "Lite-On" burner, 16X or 24X.
Any "Yamaha" burner, 16X or above. (expensive)
My personal favorite: TDK Model # 16/10/40XA ($99 @ Circuit City, Best Buy) or www.pricewatch.com
Keep in mind, any burner will copy the music from a karaoke disc, but only a few will copy the words. It took me a lot of research to be able to do this. I hope this helps.

Hi there, i have a problem with burning Karaoke cds. I use DArt KAraoke Studio to sincronize the music with the lyrics. Once i finish, i save it as CD+G and a file .BIN is created. Starting from there, what should i do to burn it to a CD (and with wich software) and for it will be compatible to a Karaoke Machine?

I was wondering what brand of CDR you use. I have a lite-on burner and can't get a clean copy of my cdg. I tried slowing down the write speed and the read speed.

Keep in mind that burning karaoke discs is illegal and if you get caught doing it, you can lose your equipment as well as all of your discs. So try not to burn them and buy the orginals again.

Since the inception of computers it has been a driving force for keeping the cost of software at a tolerable level. I guess that's why people by hardware? Hmmmm

Hey Chuck,
Are you sure that the 16X and up Yamaha's work. I just bought a CRW3200EZ and CDRWIN and Clone, including DART_Karaoke will say that this burner can read or write CD-G? I am going to take the burner back to Best Buy and was wondering if you could recommend one?? Please email me at lcummings@kc.rr.com

there are others but these are the best .
2 scssi or ide ? ide is easyer to install and all you need is the drivers .Whrere as scssi needs addition of and iterface card (expensive).

new software is coming out all the time.. the latest and best if i do say myself is a program called alcohol 120% ( www.alcohol-soft.com ) it suports alot of different burners. i personally use a liteon 40x12x48 and have no problems.
cdrwin has been the software of choice in the past due to the fact it lets you rip songs off a karaoke cd and burn them to another in the order you choose. ( make a personal cd with just your selected songs ).

Hi,
I want to copy CDG's with music and words, but I am unsure how, could anyone help me? I have Windows XP the latest out so far, and they told me I am equiped to do it, But I am unsure how to do it, any advice would be appreciated.

Gotta be Goldenhawk....I have had no problems using it..the quality is great..and I use a Yamaha CD-RW...IDE that is...I am a karaoke DJ..and have ALOT of backups of my stuff..and to date ...I have made no coasters.

I used Padus Disk Juggler and had no problem. I copied 100 disks two months ago.
I started copying more disks this week and can't get them to work. Anyone out there using Disk Juggler that may be able to help me?

I have used clone cd on a new USB Iomega external and was able to copy ALL cdg's and enhanced cdg's except for the ones that have mediacloq on them. Damn copy protection stuff really works.

replacing
I need to know which software can burn karaoke cd's already purchased. I need to replace some scratched ones. they already have the lyrics and music on them can this program help. I also have a cd burner on my computer cd-rw hp plus 7840-L. thanks
