It will depend on who made your drive (Gateway is just a re-seller. Go to WWW.GOLDENHAWK.COM they have the software(CDRWIN) and a list of supported drives. If your drive is made by Plextor or yamaha it should work. I have a PLEXTOR 8-4-32 IDE burner that works great at making CD-G karaoke discs. It will allow me to extract just the songs that I want and will let me arrange them in the order I want.

You have to have a CDR that can read and write CD+G files. Yamaha is a great one. I use CDRWin to burn mine. It rips them automatically into the two files needed and then joins the two files back together when it burns them. I don't have any problems with it. CDRwin is the program to use! Only a few Programs can actually rip and burn CD+G's.

I have no problem in burning cdg format discs, i dont use any software apart from plextools which is included with the cd re writer. you can buy a plextor plexwriter CD re writer off ebay for next to nothing. dont copy on the fly , just place the original disc in the plexwriterand let it read. once the draw pops open place your blank disc in and let it write your new disc.

All you realy need is a Plextor cdr/rw and cd clone, makes flawless coppies of cd+g, cd, vcd, playstation games, computer software of all types, if it's on a cd, it will make a flawless copy of it.

Clone cd will work but only for backing up a disc as will disc juggler, you just can't make any compilation discs of just the songs you want.

for a copy of cdrwin, go to a local computer fair.
look for a stall selling software.
buy 'burners heaven', this usually contains a copy of cdrwin as well as disk juggler.

Hello we were trying to make back up copies of our karaoke CDs and all we can get is the music/audio copied, is there a program for the words/lyrics to transfer with or when the audio-music copies as it has in the normal burning of music copying.

I'm no expert on computers or this subject, but I came across a software program that seems to be exactly what you need. The site is www.buykaraokedownloads.com/index.php. At the bottom of the page are three icons, one is called CD+G Burner Software. It cost $39 and seems to do everything you were looking to do. I hope this helps you.

Do you realize that Chartbusters and Sound Choice both have excellent guarantees on their CD's so that in most cases all you need is to return the damaged disc and they will replace it for free?
