To fix my problem in windows millenium
i did a search for aspi* and deleted almost
all the aspi drivers.... then download the
correct aspi drivers (had these drivers and tryd 2 install but it said already up2date so 2 do it i deleted the old ones than ran it)
restart and she worked for me mate...

If this is how HP is going to treat their customers, I won't be buying from them again!! They want me to pay to buy a CD ROM to get the driver back. You will have to go to HP's web site and order the driver on CD.

Same problem here with the Liteon 48x12x48 (ltr-48125w) Could it be that only version 3.9b supports this cd writer? i was getting the same message even with 3.9a... this is rendering me nuts! help please!

I have SAMSUNG CDRW/DVD SN-308B which is on the primary ide bus in my Inspiron 8100 with Win 2k. I have the Adaptec ASPI drivers loaded and the aspichk utilities says all is well. I also loaded the CDRWin aspi drivers and have tried switching to them. I have easy cd creator, it works, and I uninstalled the Direct CD stuff. Does anyone have any idea why CDRWin version 3 and 4 can't see a recorder on my bus. I even tried loading the LSI ASPI drivers.

I didn't have the "no ASPI manager" problem until I copied the wnaspi32.dll into the CDRWin program directory, which is exactly opposite of the situation for the people on this list. (I removed it and that problem goes away.)

I have wasted about five hours searching the web for a solution, and Goldenhawk has been no help.

P.S. I am beginning to develop a deep hatred for people who make vacuous suggestions like: you need the right driver... no shit.

Thanks in advance, and I would appreciate it if you could mail me off list.

I would like you to help me out with how i can get to download free driver software for my CDRW/DVD so i can be able to write to cd's and also be able to play DVD's.I am using a dell inspiron 2650 laptop and the hardware i am trying to find a driver for is a SAMSUNG CDRW/DVD SN-308B.

I would be one of the most happiest man alive if you can help me for i have been trying to write and play DVD's ever since i bought my laptop.

try to find the following version of cdrwin:
"CDRWIN 4.0a incl ASPI Drivers and SERIAL for Windows XP by PrEtOrIa.zip"
i had the same problem that you have. this version of cdrwin asks you during installation if you want to keep your aspi or use cdrwin's aspi driver.

All of a sudden nero and cdr win and tdk cd blender will not find any cdr's. when windows loads up it show up and you can load from the cdr and play music with cd player. when I try to load nero it just surches for about 5 minutes and then comes up with a vitural reccorder?? I dont know what that is and in cdrwin the program just crashes. It used to work Please help.please

This is how you download a CD-writer. First. buy a gun so you can blow your stupid fucken head off your fucken body.
