The only way I seen how to do this is to start recording first and push play as fast as you can on your audio player. It shouldn't detect nothing.

You're sound card has to be "full duplex" to be able to do so.

logic audio + soundblaster live

I got logic Audio Platinum and a Soundblaster live card. When I try to use Audio tracks all I hear is a very loud noise in intervals of almost one second. I can´t record or play audiofiles. Where is the problem .PS. The card works pretty well with Acid and Vst, Wavelab and all the other Programs I have. But I want to use LA platinum because of its tremendous MIDI Timing. Help me please

Well, if the SB LIVE card works with all the other music software you have bought (?), but not with LOGIC, it must be a conflict between these two entities...
Have you tried e-mailing support at either Creative Labs or the company who makes LOGIC (is it Cubase?)... I don't know... I'm a Pro Tools man myself :)

I have the same problem too.
Do you have problems with losing midi sync as well?

(My system: PII-300, 64 Mb, Cheep korean S3 video card, soundblaster16 (deactivated))

I just got MicroLogic AV 3.5 and I have the same
problem too. Once again, the sound card works
perfectly with all other software. I am seeing
if I get any answers from Emagic.

I found someone on the web who has solved the
problem I had. It's the automatic configuring
that Logic does for the sound card. To fix it,
go to your Logic program directory, launch
MMSetup.exe, select the SBLive playback device
in the list in the left half of the window,
and enter 2 instead of 8 in the "Channels per
Driver" field. Then select the SBLive recording
device in the right half of the window, and set
its "Channels per Driver" also to 2 instead of 8.
Exit and answer yes to the "Save changes" prompt.

Live Midi Player

I perform with midi files live and I would like to set a up
my repetoire on an old 386 notebook. Unfortunately I can't
seem to find a suitable program to handle this.
I know there are any number of midi players available
on the net, but I haven't yet found one that will do
the job simply.
All that I require is a program that will display a
song list,stop and start, and be operated with key
strokes.Maybe even able to change tempo would be nice.
Does anyone know of such a basic program, or is there
someone willing to write a simple program like this.
I'm sure that I'm not the only one looking for something
this simple.
Any feedback would be appreciated.

music conversion

I have a friend in England who has composed a lot of music on a yamaha system with a 3.5 disk and would like to convert the disk music to sheet music via the computor . I told him I would see if iI could help. Does anyone have a suggetions on how this can be done? Or at least point me in the right dirction to get the answears I need? Thanks

MC-303 cakewalk 6 sysex

hye guys
I have a MC-303 and I ran out of memory so I tried to dump my patterns on my hard-disk using cakewalk 6
it worked ...
the problem is that I can't send the sysex files back on my MC-303 because the amount of information per second is too high and I don't know how to lower the speed of transmission.
I know I have to modify a few lines in a file of the cakewalk directory but I don't know how
if U guys have a suggestion or the answer to my dilema that would be pretty kind of U
waitin' for your answer

How to do it
1- If you can play the mp2 on a PC (a laptop?). Connect the audio outlet of the soundcard of that PC to another PC, one with the program Easy CD Writer and use Spin Doctor.
This produces a wav document of the music.
2- Musicmatch Jukebox will maybe take up the mp2 song in its Library. From the library, Musicmatch will not convert the mp2 in wav, but from the playlist it has done so repeatedly for me.
Once you have the song in wav, Musicmatch will reconvert itto mp3 if you wish.
Let me know how it goes.
