If you have Winamp, all you need to do is bring the Winamp menu and go to options and then go to preferences and then on the right, go to the Nullsoft Disk Writer plug in and then that will convert the mp3 to a .wav and you can put it were you want it.

How do you convert the MP3 in to .wav using winamp. I've tried to figure it out...but can't.

Hi, I have some .wav files, and I want to burn
them into a CD so I can listen on the car stereo.
Is there any way to convert them into .cda, or
if I burn them on .wav format is enough?

I heard that you have to burn the .wav files on CD
at 1x, so it can play in a CD-Player.

I have a Phillips CD-RW and a huge list of MP3 files on my hard drive. Just for testing purposes one day, I tried to burn the MP3 files onto a CD-R and finalize the disk to see if it would play on my CD player. Well it worked, and since then I've made probably about 13 CDs. So if you have a burner, the software it came with should have the capability of automatically converting those files to tracks as it's copying. My friend has an HP CD-R and tried my method and it worked for him as well. Give it a shot!

I have the cd creator. While trying to make my
Jewel case. I cant' manually add the tracks.
I'll type in the name of the track and click
"add track" and it just resets itself. I've tried
everything....... and I'm getting really annoyed.

Please help.

I had Adaptech and could not figure it out either. I downloaded the jute box from music match and that has a program that converts MP.3 to .Wav and its free.

Use wavelab file/open/import audio track
Save as wave and then burn it to cd

You can burn it as a data CD. Do not go for the music CD option when you are creating a CD. Once you burn it as a data CD, you can use any MP3 player to read it...thats the way I do it.

(just a warning - i'm not sure, but I think this is right) Adaptec's CD software won't let you burn MP3's to a CD when you are making an audio disc, because ALL audio discs are in .cda file format, and adaptec converts the .wav file into .cda - if you want to put mp3's onto a CD, then it needs to be in the "data cd" format - that way, it's just copying the file to the cd. BUT, this IS a data cd ONLY. It will be a way to move mp3's to another computer, you CANNOT play the cd in a CD player.

Okay, but what if I have a whole slew of mp3s and I want to burn a CD to play in my car? I have Adaptec Easy CD Creator, but it tells me it doesn't support that file type when I try to burn an *audio* CD. I've been skimming these messages but so far I haven't seen anything I can use (several people say "use this program" or "use that program," but there's no word on whether these programs are freeware and how to get them).

Thanks for any help. I was trying to this in a hurry, which was why I came here instead of just trying to track this down on my own.

hmm...maybe you've never used xcdroast under linux... this program doesn't have the option to create audio cd's from wav files.

All I do is change my recording properties to cd ONLY, (double click on the sound icon in your taskbar, options, properties, recording). Then with the Cd in your drive press play and on the windows sound recorder press record. You may have to lower the properties but you can convert it back later.

Why in the hell is my cubase vst score 3.5* - 3.6
locking it selfe up everytime I try to move a
copied track in the editor AFTER I have pasted it.
I have tried every uppgrade and so on.
Is there anyone with the same problem?
HOW do I solve it?

Is it 3.5x or is it 3.6?
I have 3.553 (3.55 + 3.553 upgrade
from www.steinberg.net) and it works
fine. I am using only this.
Ver. 3.6 sucks (there is 3.603 now, after
a 5 weeks of 3.6) and I`m not using it.

Which one do you prefer for digital audio?
Same question for MIDI recording. Overall both areas considered, which do you consider more advantageous?
