Software Description

Power Tab Editor is a tablature authoring tool for Windows.

Use it to make guitar and bass tab (tablature).

It lets you create tabs with most of the symbols usually found in tablature including chord names, chord diagrams, rhythm slashes, bends, slides, hammer-ons/pull-offs, harmonics and even palm muting.

It's a great application for people who want to learn how to play guitar, and indeed seasoned pros who need to transcribe their own music and/or guitar lessons.

If you are looking to convert Power Tab to Guitar Pro there is no longer any need because Guitar Pro now imports Power Tab.

Although PowerTab is not officially designed to run on Windows Vista, there are a lot of people who use it with no problem, however some people have reported that it won't run on Vista for them.

My computer crashed and after restoration I get the following:-

Pteditor has caused an error in PTEDITOR.EXE. Pteditor will now close. If you continue to experience problems, try restarting your computer.

Any ideas for a fix would be much appreciated. Thank you

Where do I download the tabs for them to work, my friend got all my tabs and i dont know where he got them... I wanna download my own cuz there are some songs i wanna learn.

MIDI playback problem

Is there a secret to getting the program to play back chords written in the rhythm slash section? The notes posted in the staff play back fine but I get no sound from the rhythm slashes even though I have set guitar 1 to R.S.

ENTER THE CHORD (SELECT) FROM THE CHORD DICTIONARY
THEN IT SHOULD WORK

I can't read music but I'm willing to play the guitar.
Most of the time I find tabs to help me, other time I have to convert notes into tabs and that is not an easy job.
Do you know any program or else to install on my PC and then have the program to do the converting for me?
Something like : this note corresponds to that position in the tab chart ?

Does anyone have or know where I can find any complete molly Hatchet, Ian Moore, Skynyrd, or Blackfoot tunes???? I have been looking all over the net here, and no one seems to either have any interest in any of these or the capability of figuring it out? I can learn from tab easily, but not by ear very well, adn the band that is looking to get me in would like me to figure some of these tunes out as quick as i can. i have gotten as far as i can by ear, and really need some help PLEASE!!!!!! The main sondgs I am looking for is Blackfoot's "Highway Song" Ian Moore's "How Long" How Does It Fell" Skynyrd's "Needle and The Spoon" "Working for MCA" If any one can help, I will be forever indebted!

Midi Problem Please Help

Whenever i go to play the midi file after about 3 plays it comes up with an error caused in oowertab.exe and i tried d/l it bout 20 times and midi is really useful for timing, please help!!!!

the export midi function has a major problem, being that i think its exporting to a strange midi format. its playable by windows media player, winamp etc. obviously, but my midi editor (midisoft studio v6) can't seem to edit it. needs to be addressed in future version i think
