Why can only a select few cd burners be used?

Excuse the newbie question but don't all burners do the same thing...I don't understand why only the name brand burners are able to create these CD+G's. Anyone that thinks they can explain, please give me and the rest of us newbies some input. Thanks.

THAAAANNNK U!!!!!I al so would like to know that. I have asked technicians,store retailers,computer users etc.,here in Australia the same question, and mostly they tell me there shouldn't be any problem if the burner will read/write VCD/CD extra/CDi/Karaoke CD/MP3 etc...but the websites in the U.S say differently, why is this.......I WANT TO KNOW TOO................PLEASE HELP US, SOMEBODY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

its something do do with how the cd recorder was made and ther firmware. i have a plextor 2412 the cd recorder manufacture claims that it can do this ,but a lot of software do not support this actual model of the cdr drive .i tried cdrwin, which is made by golden hawk technolgy.This software supports some plextor drives ,but do not list mine . tried a demo version and it recorded fine .i have not tried any other karaoke cd and what i understand you need to be using audio cds ,not data cds thas all i understand about this technology

I have a PleXwriter 12/10/32 It came with software that will copy cd+g

music plays too fast!!!help

I have successfully loaded the wave file and the lyrics and syncronized them and music plays correct speed during process. When I create the bin file, the music is playing much quicker and is too fast and no longer in sync with the lyrics. Anybody know anything about this problem?

I have the program from dart karakoe and I don't understand i can copy the music but the words will not come up on the tv screen what am i doing wrong I have a teac cd-rom and some one told me that i can'y copying cdg's with that cd rom but then some one else said that I could add more memory to computer and it would work help me!

Memory or no memory, you need a CD-R/RW that supports CD-Text and/or can access and/or write subcode. That's the bottom line.

Hi Marcel,
What is the connection between CDG/MP+g/CD text???I have seen some CDRW drives here in Australia that support Cd Text.Does that mean I could buy one of those to BACK UP/BURN&READ CDG discs & downloads??? Refer to my post to BRANDI.

i would like to burn off cd/g to cd/r, to make my own what i want cd/g. i have a ricoh mp7320a cd/r with xp windows. moneys is thin so the cheapest way please.....

If you are using a download manager, try disabling it and downloading again, this seemed to work for me. Also I read there might be a problem downloading with netscape so use internet explorer. Hope this helps.
