Software Description

Make and Play Karaoke on your computer. Rip & Burn CD+G Karaoke CDs. DART DeVocal - Suppress the Main Vocal from Stereo Recordings. DART Karaoke Author - Import, edit and synchronize lyrics to the music you hear. Customize the graphics with the CD+G track generator. DART Karaoke Wizard - The onscreen guide will assist you step by step to custom Karaoke songs. Sing-Along and Record your Performance. Play CD+G tracks with full audio and graphics.

Mate,I know exactly where youre at. I am in Australia & you may as well be talking Chinese, as mention Cdg/Mp+g, no one here seems to know anything about this format,or about computer karaoke. You will find it hard to get cdg to download free, but if you have access to Morpheus or KaZaA(file sharing sites), you can sometimes find them there, although most of the files are mp3. If you have the right CDRW and the right software program, you would be able to download them on to your HDD & then convert the file to CDG format & design the lyrics & background yourself. It is more work,but it might be the only way to form a large songlist of cdg etc. I haven't yet got a burner or a program. I am just checking out different sites/programs etc, to see which is going to be the best for me. I have about 130 cdg discs that I play on a JVC VCD/CDG/CD player,but I want to back up those discs on to my HDD and run my karaoke from my computer to my digital mixer etc. So you can imagine how hard it is to find a burner & program that will BACK UP/BURN & READ my cgd discs & downloaded files....THAT WAS A HINT FOR ANYONE ELSE WHO READS THIS POST-I ALSO NEED HELP!!!!!!

When you buy your CD burner for your pc, there should be software with it! If you install it onto your computor, you can then burn CD's!! To download mp3's, you must download a mp3 sharing program such as Kazaa or Morphues (Morpheus tended to crash my computor, Kazaa works great!) Once you do this, you will need to get a user name on it. Then you just find the music you want and double click on it. If you click on the "traffic" icon, it should say the name of the song you are downloading

I was just reading your reply to brandy about needing software to back up your cdg's.
http://goldenhawk.com/ has excellent software for this purpose. They have a trial version that works but it's slow. The cost to buy the program is only about $50 and it works a lot faster. It's worth every penny that I paid for it.

You can download CDG files from LIMEWIRE.com but you will run into the old problem of burning them onto a CD...I burned the songs and ended up with only the music, not the lyrics..but to find the songs I simply entered "karaoke" under album and got a whole whack of them

I have made a back up copy of CD+G Karaoke disc using the program application CloneCD and a Yamaha model CRW3200

hi my nemes wazza just to let you know cdrwin/goldenhawk is a good program but don't buy it you can get a crack easy cost you nothing. ps please let me know if you find a good site for downloading mp3+g thanks wazza
