Software Description

CloneCD is the perfect tool to make backup copies of your music and data CDs, regardless of copy protection. CloneCD's award-winning user interface allows you to copy almost any CD in just a few mouse clicks.

Since the release of 5.0, CloneCD is not only able to copy CDs but also most DVD formats, such as DVD-R, DVD-RW, DVD+R, DVD+RW, DVD+R Dual Layer and DVD-RAM. The movies are copied 1:1 and therefore not modified (compressed). Note that to copy movie DVDs you also require AnyDVD.

CloneCD also works with other formats such as ISO and UDF files and copies CDs/DVDs with the new SafeDisc 3 Copy Protection System. I had the same problem,i ask the technical support,that's the answer:

Dear Claudio.

Thank you for your inquiry.

This error indicates, that another burn software is trying to access the burner while writing.
In contrast to other burn software developers we do not use the WinAspi drivers to communicate with the burners.
We develop our own drivers and adjust them with special setting files for each type of drive (e.g. Sony CRX140,
Matsushita CRW7122, Plextor W2410A...).

Other burn programs often install special background programs onto your computer (called Nerocheck, InCD, RoxyCheck,
DirectCD, BSClip etc.).

These programs control your cd devices all of the time. When CloneCD tries to use these drives (even when it tries to
identify them), these programs intervene, causing problems.

There is only one solution for this annoying issue: Temporarily deactivating Nerocheck and the other .exe while running
CloneCD.
This can be done with the Windows program "MSCONFIG".
This program enables you to choose which background programs are automatically loaded during start up (Autostart
folder).

Wait a few minutes then click on tools/log.
In here you will see lots of unreadable sectors. It will take a few hours to get past this but the resulting copy will be Better than the original cause the copy protection is GONE....... You will get no cd check errors also..... It does cause time, sometimes a few hours depending on the level of protection.....

you are trying to burn a cd with safedisc 2 on it....i had the same thing happen yesterday

I am very very sorry , your Hp 9100 burner must
be burnt up or defective sorry . The only thing
to do know is go by a new cdrom writer , but
I would prefer a dvd rom writer it is so cool .

While installing few other drivers, My CD driver somehow got corrupted. since i am unable to use my CD rom i can not use the driver cd. However if i can download the CD rom driver GCE-8240B i shall be able to use my CD rom/rw again.
