Dman 2044, Has anybody found a way to use this card with XP Yet?????????

They don't have one. They are never going to have one.
It's a hardware issue with closed archecture. The guy that was responsible for designing the device left the company long ago. No one is working on the issue and they have no intention of doing any work on it. They do however recomend that you buy one of thier newer models. So, I bought one..... but not one of thiers. Nor will I ever buy their product because of this issue.

I've also been looking for a driver, and will upgrade to xp once a driver is available. Cannot afford a replacement soundcard that has the same quality as DMAN 2044. Therefore will be stuck with 98 till I can find a driver for XP!!

According to their site,
"...The DMAN 2044 was originally designed to be used with Windows 95/98/98SE. Subsquently this driver will work with ME. M-Audio currently offers no driver support for the DMAN under Windows XP/2000. This is due to closed source code but also to limitations on the board itself.

The DMAN 2044 uses Crystal Driver technology, which M-Audio did not develop. The developers of this Crystral driver have since closed their source code."

So, to sum it all up, we are basically screwed. Unless you rever back to WinME, but WHO THE HELL would do that?!?!
