i need to know how to use my roland pc-180

i just bought a used roland pc-180 midi controller, and it didn't come with a manual. i connected it to my cuebase sx 2.01, and i see that it's responding in my transport bar, but i can't hear any sound. is this a problem with anyone else? what do i have to do?

Start -settings - control panel - multimedia - midi

There has to be Roland pc -180 shown there.

I got mine to work, but it was a couple years ago.
You need to get the driver or something like that and download it. I forget.
