PITCH CONTROL SOFTWARE

Actually I have two questions. Is there a software (free or otherwise) that I can put on my computer to change the pitch of a CD that I want to make a copy of.
I have numerous CD+G but I need the key changed.
I do have Vocopro CD+G player with a pitch control on it but do not know how to hook it up to my computer and make it work or even if it will hook up to my pc.
I really need help. I do a lot of singing with CD's but need the key's changed on the CD so I do not have to carry my vocopro ever where I go and I also want to burn a CD with several different songs from other CD's.

Re: PITCH CONTROL SOFTWARE

Does the pitch control on your Vocopro CD+G player actually change the pitch AND the speed of the songs?

If not, then it is Time Stretching the tunes which is quite smart. You can Time Stretch with software although you will need to get the songs you want into the computer. I don't know if you can import CD+G audio but I know that some people ask around here. Someone should know.

If not, then you could record the audio output (if it has one (line out)) into your computer. What software you use depends on your platform.

Time stretching changes the speed of the song without changing the pitch. This means you could actually play the song faster and higher in pitch, (if that's all your machine will do), record it into the computer and then time stretch it to it's original tempo.

Complicated sounding but it's all quite straight forward. There maybe some software to do it all for you. Check the file area here. It's massive..
