It takes at least six weeks to be able to play at the same level you were 1 1\2 months ago. My advice is just practice every day, plat some scales, and just work at it. Eventually you'll be able to play the same and you'll keep getting better.

There are all kinds of issues with making a hit song. Many of them don't even have anything to do with the music. Marketing. Image. Artist. Record Company. Radio support. TV video Rotation. On the real, one major element, if you don't have a hook up and need outside help to even get in to meet someone, it's all about the All American Art of ass kissing. Because you really need access and talent ain't always the means to an end.

But, all that aside, first and foremost, it should make you DANCE. If you move your body and head, then it's on its way. What kinds of instruments do you have? Who is your target audience and so on are also important questions to ask as well.

Anyway, good luck. I would suggest that you desire to make great music, but I understand the desire to get paid and unfortunately, played as well.

There is a program called "Vocal Writer" for Mac. I haven't used it as I use a PC but it seems to be much the same. Go to http://kaelabs.com/ to download for free. I doesn't seem to be quite as hi quality as the Vocaloid seems to be but I have heard it used very effectivily. Cheers :)
