I know what you're dealing with, my soultion was to try and edit out all the pops and breaks that may be in there, that includes the hiss and background noice caused by being recorded live but like you I make everything the same volume but then because most live recorded stuff is recorded at mono I edit it to simply make it stero and then again to make the stero greater and after that it sounds just like a normal song. I can do this for you or show you how if you'd like, you can e-mail me at if you want some help.

Making a sound card to midi keyboard cable

I'm trying to find out how to make a cable to connect my
sound card (joystick/midi connector) to my midi
keyboard. Is there any special software, etc. I need
after I make a cable?

I don't know what you're using for an MP3 player, but WinAmp will do it
if you redirect the ouput of the MP3 to a WAV file (this is under
preferences).
Otherwise, someone else on this page suggested www.cdhnow.com -- there's a program there
called Media Wizard that will do it, too. The good thing about WinAmp, is that you can create
a playlist, set it to output to file, start it and walk away. I don't know if you can batch
convert with Media Wizard or not (I haven't yet) but then again, I haven't registered it, yet.

Media Wizard is awesome! You can do PlayList with ALL audio formats imaginable! It converts CD to MP3, CD to WAV, WAV to MP3, and MP3 to WAV. You can also play everything. The latest version, 2.91 made a lot of excellent updates.

you have to run it thru your reciever most likely, unless you have a newer turntable, you'll hacve to check, or you can goto radio shack and buy a signal booster, its a small box that takes a 9volt square battery that amplifies the signal. as for a card that runs everything, i'm not sure if one exist myself but hey i'd like to have one if so hehe... hope this helps

I make music with fasttracker. and i want to put the music on cd. So i need to convert the .mod or .xm files to .wav. and is it possible to convert samples from other programms to samples for fasttracker???

Does anybody know anything about any
software DAT-player?
We got a DAT backup device (HP Surestore DAT24)
and I want to use it to copy my music-DAT-masters to CD,s. The music is recorded on a "Music" DAT recorder. Can anybody help me?
