Hard disk recorders 8track

I need to be able to record in a varied of places and mix on site.
I'm thinking of purchaseing an eight track Tascam recorder with a built in
mixer. It was surprizingly effective and with a cost of under $1.300
seems a better bet than mini-disc recording. Anyone else using this equiptment or
other brand?

Im looking for anyone who might be interested in selling their 8-track player and tapes, or with knowledge of where I might be able to aquire one of my own. Im trying to restore a 1969 Chevrolet El Camino, and it wont be the same without "Lowrider" playing on 8-track. Thanks for any help.

Is it nessesary to have a MIDI out-put keyboard to
creat quality MIDI music? All the MIDI programs that
I have seen seem to only be used to edit music that
has already been in-putted from a MIDI keyboard. Does
any one know of a program that does not require a MIDI
keyboard? Thanks.

I have also been having trouble.... this is in consideration with mixman and how to convert *.mix files into *.wav in regards to burning.. If you have any infomation on this matter please e-mail me

are there any programs that can access CDDB databases and enter the information about an audio cd into the play list for the cd player that comes with win95? i know there are cd player programs that can do that but i want to use the standard win95 cd player.

Yes, there is a ShareWare called OmEr...
It cannot convert the score directly to MIDI, but you can use Melody Assistant to Convert it.

When playing .wav- files on an AWE 64 Gold there is no
digital output on the SPDIF-Connector.
Playing MIDI-Files works perfect.
I use Windows NT 4.0.
Maybe somebody can help me solving the problem.

I'm looking for some eqing software which I can use
when I'm playing CDs in the CD-ROM - along the same lines
as the eq within Winamp. Any ideas????
