Which MIDI multi-client driver for Yammaha XG kit?

I need a multi-client driver for use between my software sequencer, Yamaha PC card synth, and other MIDI music kit
I have heard of Hermann Seibs' one, Hubi's Loopback, and one called MIDI Yoke
Which is easiest to install and use?

ACID for just $99.95!

SNG to Midi converter

I found the freeware SNG2S ver. 3.3 by M. Saito,
'91-'93. It is supposed to be a SNG to standard Midi
coverter, but it doesn't recognize my Voyetra *.SNG
files.
Does anyone know why this program doesn't work, or
of a Voyetra *.SNG to Midi converter that does work?

CDDA file format

I need CDDA file format. I could figure out that it contains track LBA and length but there are some unknown bytes too. Is there a manual ? Is CDDA defined by Microsoft ?

Had a quick look around - Try http://www.karaokevision.com/cdg.php
The've got a few to choose from (even the one I mentioned earlier!

There is a dos programme (works within Win98 r2) that will do the job, It's called CDGPLAY.EXE but I can't remember where to find it - sorry

Changing effects through time: Cool Edit Pro or Soundforge

I would like to know how to change effects over time
with either cool edit pro or soundforge. What I mean
is this: if I start a phaser effect at some degree
of phase shifting, say 40Hz and want to increase
that amount over time, how do I perform that with the
part of the wave I have selected. Thanks for your input.

Use Winamp. Go to preferences, click on output plugins, double click the diskwriter one, choose your directory and click okay. Close out of prefs, open your file(s) and click play. Presto! it will convert from any format it can play(over 10) to .wav.

I'm spending days and night looking for sbk files of good drums, which will sound better than the general MIDI drums shipped with my SB AWE32.
Particullary I want drums with heavy rock feel, something like the drums on Pixeis Surfer Rosa.
Do you know any?

Aspiring jazz pianist desperately need to learn licks on CDs
Is there anyway to play my audio CD on my PC and convert the music into musical scores esp for piano solos??

There is a program out there on shareware called amazingmidi which converts a wav file to midi.
How well it works depends on how many instruments are playing at the same time. Works well on solo piano. Or any solo piece...
