vanBasco's Karaoke Player is a freeware product that plays Karaoke (.kar) and standard MIDI (.mid, .midi, .rmi) files.

Features include:

• Fully customizable Karaoke window: change font/colors, number of lines (up to four), background image; lyrics can be displayed in a resizable window or full-screen
• Ability to change tempo, volume, key of song. Changes can be saved to playlist so that they are remembered in the future

• Real-time MIDI output: display of notes/velocities/patches
• Piano view: e.g. useful for people interested to learn new songs
• Integration with Netscape and Microsoft web-browsers, if desired

In this version:

• Fixed a bug that caused the player to omit lyrics with certain, less common lyric file formats
• In v2.50, some keyboard shortcuts would not work as expected when the playlist window was open. These shortcuts have been replaced with new ones that don't 'clash' with the playlist window - please consult the online help file included with the player to see which keyboard shortcuts have changed
• In Internet Explorer 5.50, the browser plugin would occasionally jump back and forth indefinitely - not anymore
• A skin editor is now available
