Software Description

Connect your electrical guitar, or a microphone for an acoustic guitar, to your sound card and see the exact frequency indicated by a needle on a tuning device. DsTune’s accuracy is higher than 0.1 Hz, while it’s reaction time is 0.2 sec.

The program features:

  • preset and custom tunings
  • automatic string selection
  • automatic selection of overtones
  • volume and signal indication

Connecting a guitar to reason 3

Can anyone give me advice on how to connect a guitar to reason 3. I have a small audio interface but I don't seem to be able to hear my guitar through it. I don't know if reason 3 detects it or not but I am desperate for some help to get some songs recorded!

Dubbeldam's DSTUNE is supposed to be a shareware which allows a 30-day inspection before you buy. However, during installation, it writes a timestamp marker to a secret location on your hard drive and will NEVER return that space to your system, even if you uninstall it later because you don't like it or your PC can't run it.

Dubbeldam obviously do that so you don't keep reinstalling the shareware and use it for free forever. They claim that their practice of littering your harddrive is within Windows guidelines.

I say that is irresponsible and their shareware should be branded as a worm and disqualified as a legitimate shareware.

What they should have done is to have the decency of putting a warning in their installation about their irreversible timestamping mechanism and allow the user to back out if the user doesn't like losing diskspace permanently.
