Software Description
djay for iPad turns your iPad device into a full-fledged DJ system.
You can now do your DJ work with your trusted all purpose iPad. You can record mixes, perform with it live or you can let the djay do its own thing with Automix mode. This app features easy to use controls with multi-touch gestures for quick mixing.
Direct access to your iTunes library
djay gives you instant access to all your existing songs and playlists on your iPad. Browse your entire iTunes music library and easily play, mix and scratch your favorite songs.
Automix your party
One tap — hours of fun. Sit back and wow the audience at your next party. In Automix mode djay mixes your favorite iTunes playlists with seamless DJ-style transitions. You can customize Automix to your liking by adjusting various transition options such as style, duration, shuffle, and auto-sync.
Record your performance
Capture your mix live — for your latest podcast, movie or photo slide show, or to make a classic “mixtape”. djay saves your recordings as high quality AIFF files and contains a built-in organizer that allows you to arrange, preview and export your recordings to Mac or PC via iTunes file sharing.
Automatic beat & tempo detection
djay’s sophisticated on-the-fly song analysis calculates the beats per minute (BPM) and exact location of each beat, laying the groundwork for a host of other features including Auto-Sync and beat-synchronized scratching.
Visual mixing with waveforms
djay's advanced audio wave form display gives you an overview of a song's structure and allows you to visually cue to specific points to prepare the prefect transition.
Auto-Cut Scratching
Auto-Cut Scratching automatically applies the rhythmic pattern of the currently playing song to your scratches in real-time. Simply touch and move the record with two fingers to create stunning effects and go beyond the possibilities of the analog world.
Mixer and EQ controls
3-band equalizers, gain, line faders, and a crossfader give you all the tools you need to seamlessly blend one song into another.
