Software Description

  • Captures analog or CD audio, converts .wav and .aif/c files into a lossless .dax format, typically with 2x compression..
  • Graphical interface to compressed audio for selection of passages for replay, expansion, or further compression using any Quicktime-supported codec..
  • A 10-band graphics equalizer is implemented.
  • Version 1.1 supports stereo-to-mono and rate conversion, and .dax precisions of 4 through 16 bits.

CD to Hard Drive

I'm looking for a program which will allow me to transfer CD's to a hard drive, catalog the CD's and then play them back in a 'jukebox' format from the hard drive to my home stereo system WITHOUT compromising sound quality. (Using a Mac system with 800GB external hard drive). Any suggestions or comments will be greatly appreciated.
