Capella software for Windows 2000

I write Church Music and need a programme which will allow me to write both tie signatured music but also in free time without any music signature. Does Capella allow you to do this?
I would be grateful for any help regarding this and also to know the cost of the software I would need. Thank you.

Is there a good software to make capella version of songs?? I tried capella 2000 but I t does not work nad it requires .cap files. How do I make them? Is there a converter to do so?

It's now years later since this thread was first posted (I have Capella 5.3) and it still crashes - continuously. I have lost input so many times I have lost count, and have long ago resorted to saving after every couple of keystrokes. Hardly satisfactory. The programmers responsible for the stability of this software have been absolutely inept in finding a solution to this problem which has existed for many years. I have been a Capella user for 10 years or so and have the suite of capella programs. Having spent a lot of money on these including upgrades and invested time into learning this program I have been loathe to dump Capella and go for Sibelius. I am here because I have reached the end of my long and sorely tried patience. There are two things you need to solve this issue - a credit card, and a BIN.

The UK distributors have just found a cause of many crashes. When a stave or a line of music is deleted at the end of a stave, the stave or line of music seems to disappear. In fact, tapping the down arrow will show that space for this line of music is still held in capella. These "hidden staves" will cause crashes. They are removed by pressing CONTROL+DELETE when the cursor is flashing below the end of the score. It should not be possible for the down arrow to send the cursor beyond the last line of music in the score.

This should solve a lot of problems! Best wishes to everyone. Erica.

Purchasing Capella 2000

It is not at all clear where you can purchase a full version of the product in the United States. I've downloaded the demo....and it is a bit buggy....you get blue screen of death...sporatically.

We typed in some music and program crashed on searching help.
Re-entered typed in some more, program then crashed when we tried to save.
Then went downhill rapidly.

I agree seems to have problems in Windows 98.
I'm not sure if this company is still in business, or at least does business in the USA.
