Software Description

Wave Repair is a shareware editor designed for ultra-fine level alteration of the waveform shape in WAV files, and is specifically targeted at identifying and repairing the clicks, pops and ticks that inevitably plague vinyl replay. Wave Repair is not a general purpose digital audio editor (in particular, it does not includes arbitrary copy/cut/paste editing of WAV files).

Rather, Wave Repair eases many of the tasks that are required during restoration of music recorded from vinyl records, and which are often difficult using general purpose tools.

Restoration Facilities:

  • Manually redraw waveforms at any level of zoom
  • Interpolation (linear and Bezier-curve)
  • Fade-in and fade-out
  • Removal of unwanted segments
  • Waveform Smoothing
  • Muting
  • Copy blocks from one channel to the other
  • Copy blocks from one place to another
  • Replace segments from other WAV files
  • Automatic click detection and repair
  • Realtime declick preview (listen as you adjust parameters)
  • Manual review of detected clicks (each click may be individually fixed, either manually or automatically)
  • Equalisation with realtime preview (listen as you adjust equalisation)

CDR Preparation Facilities:

  • Normalization
  • Compression with realtime preview (listen as you adjust compression)
  • Split tracks on CD block boundaries
  • Create CDRWin-style cue sheets (supports tracks and indexes)
  • Remove trailing housekeeping data added by other packages

User Interface:

  • Zoom to any level on both axes (time and amplitude)
  • Unlimited levels of Undo and Redo
  • Macro facility
  • User-configurable colours and menu shortcuts

General File Handling:

  • Supports large WAV files (up to 4GB)
  • Save segments to new WAV files
  • Record and Playback capability
  • Works only with 16 bit stereo WAV files (44.1 or 48 kHz)

confusion

I am extremely impressed with the software ; I am trying to retrieve songs/music from my old spools(reels) but am confused as to how to identifythe end of one song/track and beginning of another after I have copied all to the PC with WAVEREPAIR. cAN U PL HELP ? tHANKS. REGARDS. nAVROZE.

A short time ago I purchased a Wave repair programme from you,but shortly after I had trouble with my infected computer and am now getting back on air. I found several searches under "wave editor" for programs that works as well, but cost 1/2 as much. I will not recommend the one i bought, I will let you be the judge of the results of your search. But 30 bucks is to much,in nmy opinion, for you can get a program from best buy for less

trouble to register & pay U$30!

I have been using this tool a lot. Mostly for cleaning up recordings from LP, equalizing, and adjusting the volume.

It is a great tool. Highly recommended!
