Software Description

TwoTrak is a two track stereo (4 track mono) wave file recording and mixing program.

TwoTrak is designed to allow the user to record a wave file while listening to the playback of a previously recorded wave file, and then overdub (i.e. combine) the record file on top of the play file. Using this technique, the user can create a wave file containing several instruments and/or voices, much like a song from compact disc or the radio.

Hi
Very newbie question here. Sorry for posting here.
I have a 16 bit audio card in my thinkpad, and ive tried several programs here. One said mutitracking impossible without full duplex soundcard when i did the full duplex test.
My question is, what sofware can i use to record just a few tracks sound on sound WITHOUT a full duplex soundcard??

dont think its possible mate. you need it to record and play back the tracks that have all reday been recorded at the same time

I used TwoTrack to record from the AUX/HEADPHONE jack of my Yamaha PS230 keyboard to the LINE-IN jack of my PCI audio card. The resulting .wav files were very good quality. However, I've had a bit of a problem with amplification. This is probably my integrated sound card's fault. I'm still experimenting.

Regarding overdubbing - I have been unable to get it to work so far.

Downloaded in seconds...worked straight away...brilliantly simple. Very impressed. Just what I needed. Has the second version been written? Could be improved by having the facility to keep your original backing track.

Im looking for a multi track system, that i can download off the internet. Im looking for something to enchance our 8 track so i can send the music from the 8 track to the hardrive, enhance it, dump it back to the 8 track and then bring all the tracks together and dump it to my recording cd drive so we can make our own CD's.

I can get none of these programs to download. "server not found" is a common refrain.
