Software Description

This MP3 DJ setup allows you to manipulate virtual records with the mouse and all the controls are fully keyboard mapped, so that you can DJ with two hands rather than with one.

  • two turntables and a mixer controllable by keyboard
  • crossfade, backspin, and speed up and slow down
  • use on full-length WAV and MP3 songs
  • autoMix: automatic mixing of your playlist
  • cueing with headphones
  • pitch bending and cue points
  • supports .m3u playlists, WAVE, MP3 and AIFF, and other sound formats supported by QuickTime

Give it a shot! Although it says it only supports upto Windows XP, nowhere does it says that it wont work on Vista!

According to the Tactile12000 website it only runs on Windows 2000/95/98/ME/NT/XP

Tactile12000 is a free opensource interactive simulation of two turntables and a mixer. I picked up some loops, breaks, and acapellas- and i was on my way. Its mighty funky stuff.

This is the first time I've ever posted a message on this site, but damn is this ever a cool program (And it's freeware!). Something that would be cool in the future is FX like reverb etc. But for now this kicks ass already!
