Software Description

SimSynth uses filters from classic Oberheim gear, and overdrives three oscillators into them like a MiniMoog. When you need classic analog sound with wall to wall presence, SimSynth delivers.

  • Warm SVF Oberheim style filter
  • 16Bit 44KHz stereo output (CD quality)
  • Overdrive features including soft clipping (sounds analog)
  • Real-time MIDI control (Phatboy & Keyboard)
  • Built-in step sequencer
  • Built-in delay effects
  • Multi-stage graphic envelopes
  • Everything syncs to tempo, (Envelopes, LFO's, effects, etc)
  • Generates WAV files for use with all other digital audio applications
  • FruityLoops™ can access presets directly
  • Cool layout

    Too bad Simsynth didnt come with a set of drum patches that could be synced to the program.Could of given rebirth a scare considering the quality of Simsynth. Maybe some plugins in the future?

    After listening to tracks like Origin Unknowns "valley of the shadows" and other tunes like "Future past" I wanted something on the PC that could create dark basslines. Now, I've tried out so much crap in the past, you know these shitty shareware efforts that you install and they play 1 note that sounds like something farted out of the arsehole of a commodore 64? Well I had a look at Simsynth and ohhhh yeah..... did it create a hell of a dark bass sound. I had a look at the samples too, and I'll tell you now.... mess about with this baby and you should be able to create some nasty tunes.

    The problems? well you'll need a pretty powerful PC to benefit with the playback. Also, I would have liked an option to have a smaller interface. All them GFX takes up memory ya know (yes I should upgrade but I can't afford it at the mo)

    Bottom line, use this and you will be able to create a lot of dark tunes.
