problems with nero burning rom

why am i not able to burn audio cd's with nero burning rom. my pc came with the program already installed, as well as a built in cdwr in the pc. so can you please tell me why i am having these problems with this program???

Can't reload Nero5

I loaded nero5 to go with my new CD writer and it worked very well.
Some time later I accidentally deleted nero5. Now every time I try to reload it, it says"refused to load Setup Wizard". I have since tried to delete it from "Add/Remove Programs Properties" But it will not leave and stays there.I think it would reload if I could just clear it form my PC altogether!
Short of reformatting my hard drive, what can I do? I think Nero5 was a great program when it worked for me. Please help.

Had same problem, had to manually clear remnants of prog.fom "C" drive. Also remove registry entries- can be found by using 'edit'and 'find' facility in 'regedit'. Removed BOTH Nero and "In CD" from c drive and reg.,then it re-installed just as normal. Hope this 'cracks' it for you too!

I just posted a reply to the Nero help file. Well A few minutes after that I went to the Nero site (for the 100th time) but I actually found something. I downloaded it and it fixed the little error when you try to use the help thing when your using Nero Express... this error.

::Try this::

Download the Language pack from their site. Use the little drop down arrow where it says 'program' and select 'Language'. Then select whatever language pack you need. The English one only fixes the help file bugs :)

It has the help files bundled within it.

Since Nero decided to throw away the help file when you upgrade to Nero express and Steve is nice enough to give his to people who ask ... he’s is probably getting asked for the file a lot. So to help him out, and reduce his emails, I am currently hosting the file on my site.

Just click on the link, save it, unzip it and drop the nero.hlp file it into your Nero directory
i.e. C:\Program Files\ahead\nero\

Invalid field in command/CDB error message

My problem: when I start burning an audio CD, about 3% into the burn, the error message "invalid field in command" pops up, and burning is aborted.

What I have: Nero 5.510, TEAC CD - W54E CD Writer, Windows XP Professional, Pentium III Hewlett Packard.

I have reviewed possible scenarios: Ahead's files say that for other CD writers, deactivating the option "MCN/ISRC" might work, it may be worth a try here - where is the MCN/ISRC located so I can deactivate it? I didn't see it under Nero's preferences.

But in case this isn't the problem, does anyone have other possible solutions?

Please help!

I have the same problems with nero when burnign DAO. I also have an HP Pentium 3. Any solutions?

Put your windows 98 cd into your cd-rom. Go to start, run and type the following "SFC /scannow" and let your win 98 disk verify that all your system files are intact. If they are not this will re-install the defective files. Good luck

CD-Copy failed to analyze cd?

I can easily compile a cd because it opens a window where I can drag and drop all the audio tracks. It works so I'm happy, but when I try to simply use the wizard to just outright copy the cd, it analyzes, but imediately fails to analize the info. What is going on?? I'm pretty sure I used this feature a while ago when I first got Nero.
