Software Description
Mutabor allows for dynamic tuning of any MIDI driven music instrument. It uses pitchbend messages to retune midi tones and distributes the tones across MIDI channels so that the tones can be tuned independently.
The retuning is done according to a tuning logic, which can be written relatively freely in a powerful description language. The language is optimized to be easy to learn and understandable by musicians.
A generic MIDI routing system allows to use very different setups.
The different versions support different OS and are availlable under different licenses.
- MUTABOR I – wired hardware
- MUTABOR II – Atari
- MUTABOR 2.1 – Win 3.1
- MUTABOR 3 – Windows 95 and above
- development version (GPL) – Mac OS X 10.4 and above, Windows 95 and above, Linux
Some parts up to Version 3 are in German as well as the website and the documentation. The project website at BerliOS is availlable in English as well as the development version. (Date: 2010-05-07).
English documentation is planned voluntary help is welcome.
