Software Description

With Midi2Wav Recorder you can convert MIDI files to Wav or MP3. The conversion is as easy as one touch of a button. You can convert a number of MIDI files using the batch conversion feature. You can choose the different record qualities such as CD Quality, FM Quality etc.

It also gives you an opportunity to record your singing into microphone with MIDI accompaniment. Midi2Wav Recorder provides you with the visual controls that allow you to estimate the quality of your recording. It is also a full-featured MIDI and Wav player. You can view and change MIDI file settings such as tempo, instrument, volume and balance of each track.

Comment viewing options

Select your preferred way to display the comments and click "Save settings" to activate your changes.

no output to wav

I purcahsed the full version and it worked great for a while...Now I get no output to wav...demo version still works but no sound recorded on full ver.

full version fails now

hitsquad really put a hit on people. The demo version does not work. There is no guarantee that the purchased version will work and there is no response from hitsquad to all the user comments.

The demo version only records the first 10 seconds of music when you conver a wave into a midi.

I am using Cakewalk ProAudio 9, but I am not using premiere 5.1 (what is this?). Midi2Wav plays back midi files and .wav files but is not playing back my converted midi to .wav files. I have downloaded the demo version only and am trying to decide whether I should purchase this. Also, did you know that Sonar (what would have been ProAudio 10), Cakewalk's new program does do this conversion.

can't get a signal for midi to wave

The program set up is great, but no matter what I try & do, zero signal is registering when I try and record any midi files to wave. It sounds fine from the midi, but the wave on play back makes no sounds regardless of play back level (no signal). It can play wave files, though, as I opened one and the signal was fine. CAN YOU HELP? I played with the plugs on the back of my computer and tried all possibilities, but it made no difference?!?

The problem maybe to do with hardware.

I have n-track studio which is basically a wave based multitrack but includes a midi sequencer using your soundcards midi synth.

The program contains a facility to convert midi to wave but the help files says this may not work if your soundcard can'y record its own midi output.

However the software vendor says to get round this by linking your line out with your line with a short cable to record the output.

This won't work unless your soundcard allows duplexing i.e. can record and playback at the same time.

Unfortunately there will probably never be a driver for anything later than Win98. Music Quest was purchased by Opcode several years ago and at that time discontinued development on the 2portse product. Opcode has since become defunct after Gibson purchased the company. You can read the story here.

It's too bad because the 2PORTSE was a nice product. I still have mine. Maybe one day I'll attempt to hack the 98 driver and see if it can be written for XP. Sucks when companies leave their customers hung out to dry....

I also need a Windows XS driver for 2port/SE , sent an e-mail directly to OPCODE with no response.I seems that so far OPCODE is no longer interested in 2port/SE (and perhaps Opcode products) users.
Please any helps I'd apreciate.
