The MSI Stereo Bus Compressor from Minimal System Instruments is a plug-in modelled after buss compressors from vintage analogue consoles.

Inspired by success stories of classic releases that used analog bus compressors, the people from Minimal System Instruments created a simple plugin that will follow that route and help glue all the elements of a track together. The MSI Stereo Bus Compressor was created for producers and recording enthusiasts to help add the finishing touches to their project tracks. It can be used on the Master Bus or on the sub-groups (Drum groups etc). It was also designed with CPU efficiency in mind.

Usage Tips

• Group all drums elements into one group and use the MSI Stereo Buss Compressor in that group.
• Use the MSI Stereo Bus Compressor early on in the mix using around 1-3dB of gain reduction.
• Buss compressors are mostly used on audio that display a variation of transients and frequencies such as backing vocals and drum kits.
