: TO rzaloner: I believe the software you are using is Zy2000 MP3 CD Maker. If so, I can tell you how to add the files for recording BUT this is NOT A FULLY FUNCTIONAL demo and you will waste a blank disc since you're only allowed to record 5 songs on the shareware. But here's how to do it: When you click the 'add song' icon, the standard file/folder dialog box should appear. Its header has an open line that should already have a folder name (like "My Documents" or "Desktop" or "Program Files").. if not a folder name, then the letter that corresponds to one of your hard drives should be there ("C:\" or "D:\"). Below that is an open window showing some of the files that are in the folder or drive shown... AND you can scroll thru that window just like you scroll up and down any web page with your cursor in the bar between arrows. The first thing to do is get the correct "directory" into that 'header' line above the window and I'll use my computer as an example. All of my mp3 files are on the 'D' drive so I mouse click the little arrow on the right end of the 'header'line... this prompts a ladder diagram of my drives and folders so I click on 'D', THEN click the "OPEN" button in the lower right-hand area of the box. This makes all of my mp3 files (AND anything else on my 'D' drive) appear in the window. Because this window is small, you'll have to scroll thru it to locate each (Napster song) file you want to record. Click on the first song file you want, then click on that same 'OPEN' button in the lower-right side of the box. The song info will appear in the recording box of your software. To add the second song file, you'll again click on the 'add song' icon of your software and this will again prompt that little box where you'll enter the same info into the header, scroll to locate your song file, click your chosen song file, click the 'OPEN' button.... But I'm telling you that after you get that 4th or 5th song opened in the software recording box, you're going to get zapped with a message telling you that only 4 songs can be recorded with this version. And the normalizer on this software will ruin any mp3 files you put thru it... And forget about any tech support. I've yet to hear back from those cretins on either of my inquiries. I'll tell you what software I'm using and you can make the choice for yourself. HyCD Play & Record does this same mp3 to WAV conversion on the fly and produces beautiful sound quality, even recording at 8X speed. They have a 10-day demo and the site is www.hycd.com. The purchase price is $19.99 if, after 10 days you want to keep it. And you will. AND their demo IS FULLY FUNCTIONAL so you can get a true trial run. NTI (Zy2000 CD Maker) is one of 4 similar programs that I've downloaded and I hate to see anyone waste as much time as I did to come away empty handed. Lastly, for instructions on using any software you download, click the "Read Me, Help Topics or ?" icons in the software menu bar. HyCD does not load files like CD Maker. You'll use Windows Explorer to access & open the drive & folders containing your mp3 files, then you'll RIGHT click the first song file you want to record. THis will bring up a menu list with "HyCD COPY" as an option. Left click that option and the HyCD software recording box appears. Then you'll use its 'add songs' feature to create a full list of 12-14 songs to record. Then after your songs are loaded, use Windows Explorer(or 'My Computer') to access your drive icons. Right click on the icon that represents your recorder and left click the 'HyCD Paste' option. Good luck and remember those 'user's guides/help features' are always included with purchased OR freeware. Good luck burning those discs. kkb@email.com

Would anyone know why it spits out my CD while recording and then ask to "please insert CD for recording". I'm thinking it might be a software problem, but I just wanted to see if anyone knew anything about it. Thanks!

the reason it spits it out is you have too much data for that CD. If you go back and remove files or songs or whatever it is that you are burning it will let you continue. you may have to remove 2 or 3 before it lets you move on. Ive noticed that it seems happiest if you keep it below 76 minutes. (the error is not intuitive at all, Ive just figured this out through trial and error).

download winamp, have the winamp screen up, hit control p, click output, then click the 3rd option down nullsoft diskwriter plug in. everything after that is self explanatory, make sure you create a folder where your converted wav files to go to
