Software Description
MOD2MIDI takes as input a 15 or 31 sample MODfile, and, with data from the user, generates a type one MIDIfile, with six tracks and fourty-eight ticks per crotchet. In addition, it generates a settings file, to save the user information, and loads this file if the same MODfile is ever worked on again.
Once all the parameters have been specified, MOD2MIDI generates six temporary files in the directory where it is run from. Four are the four instrumental midi channels, one is the percussion midi channel, and one is the midi channel for tempo changes. These temporary files are used to save memory in favour of disk space, and they limit the speed of the program by the speed of the disk drive. It is best to run MOD2MIDI from a hard disk. MOD2MIDI runs through each pattern in the MODfile in the order in which they would be played and converts the information to midi data. As the MODfile is converted, the midi data is added to the appropriate files. Once all the patterns have been converted, the six files are copied, adding headers and tails, into a single MIDIfile. The temporary files are then deleted.

First off, I wish some of you people would
LEARN HOW TO POST. Its incredibly lame to see
the same message posted 1000 times with no follow
up!!! If you have nothing to say, maybe try the
CANCEL button instead of leaving an empty
follow-up?
Did anyone ever actually find the MIDI-2-MOD
or MOD-2-MIDI program? I'd be interested in it...

You have to copy the files to a dos formatted disk on the amiga. This is because the PC disk controller has limitations which makes it impossible to read amiga formatted disks. You can use workbench 3.1 to copy the disk. Bear in mind that DOS disks only holds 1.44 so you might have to span over more disks.
If you don't have workbench 3.1, it might just be easier to find the same files on the internet.
Ways to access Amiga Files on a PC...
There's a couple ways I use to access Amiga
files on a PC. One of them has already been
mentioned: Use AmigaDOS 3.x and just format a
PC disk and copy the files.
If you don't have AmigaDOS 3.x, there used to
be a product called "CrossDOS" which allowed you
to read/write PC disks. There were several other
programs that did this, many of them freely
downloadable.
If you have a SCSI Zip Drive (or SuperDisk or
some other removeable media), format the disk on
the PC then connect the drive to the Amiga. I
have a SCSI ZIP Drive on the Amiga and an IDE
Zip Drive in the PC. This is the way I transfer
files. Its fast and the Zip Disks hold 100 megs
each. The important thing is to format the Zip
Disk on the PC...
If you don't want to work with disks, you
can also connect the Serial Ports together with
a Null Modem Cable (or standard serial cable
with a Null Modem Adaptor). Set the Baud Rate as
high as it will go (but have the same speed on
both computers). You can then use a Terminal
Program to send the files, preferably using the
ZModem Protocol (its fastest and supports multiple
files). But you can use XModem or YModem if
needs be. I use JRComm on the Amiga, and ProCOMM
Plus on the PC. I don't think HyperTerm (built
into Windows) supports file download protocols.
And finally, if you are one of those really
lucky people who has an Amiga Computer with a
Network Card, just make sure TCP/IP is set up
correctly on both the PC and the Amiga, and then
use FTP to transfer the files (On the PC, go to
a Dos Prompt and type in FTP followed by the IP
Address of the Amiga. On the Amiga, go into a
Command Line (CLI) and type in FTP followed by
the IP Address of the PC. Set it as BINARY
(not ascii) then send out the files)...
