Just plug your electric guitar to the sound card input, start Guitar FX BOX and enjoy - your guitar will scream and sing! This high quality sound processing program is acting just like a good collection of guitar effects pedals. You can use several of them at the same time, even all of them if you need so.
Guitar FX BOX does REALLY real-time DSP. Signal is sampled from sound card input, processed and then sent to the output with VERY LOW LATENCY - virtually undetectable. This is achieved using DirectSound or WDM streaming for fast access to the hardware (sound card) and fast DSP algorithms optimized for realtime processing.
Besides that, Guitar FX BOX features intuitive user interface, supports presets and hot keys for quick presets changing, MIDI/Game controllers pedals for wah-wah effect, configurable tuner, file input/output and more...

what the heck is wrong with it?
I tried to download Guitar FX BOX 2.6 but I keep on getting error messages. Anyone with the same problem?

If so, come check out my site dedicated to providing presets for this program, right now there are about 12 presets on the site, but you can submit your own presets and have them put on the site! So come check us out at http://presets.vze.com

Ram usage
Does anyone know how much RAM the guitar effects box version 2.5 uses.
Advance use: the studio
1) dl some drum loops
2) plug in your "Octave"
3) cut1 -- backgrnd Drum, live "bass"
4) backgrnd = cut1, mix w/lead => cut2
5) Burn you Power-trio traxs to CD!

PROBLEMS WITH XP
I have a maxi sound fortissimo on my 1 ghz thunderbird and win xp
I got the latest drivers for Xp
but i can play with a latency less than 120 ms !!! help me please !! mail me . thanks

THE DAMN DELAY
how do i fix the delay, its noticable. As in LEAFFX its not noticable at all, thanks for you help.

Simply change the delay value to someth8ing klike 100!!!!! Its the value that makes no delays on my pc in contrary to 20ms. I dont know why its like that. Just try to find good value even if its bigger tham the recomended one it may work better

extra sound i
When I try to play the guitar via any program, this or Cubase , I can hear
that instead say 3 notes there are 4 played. THis happens if I play
fast. Maybe it's the sound card? or drivers, or some else?

The highest I ever take my latency up to is 85ms on my sblive. I usually have it around 50-70.

: I believe MS claim 20ms delay before playback, not in AND out, so if you start capture / playback buffers and transfer data sensibly approx 20ms is achievable, also, audio processing can be done within this delay as it takes a lot less time to read/write audio data than to play it real-time - i know, i've done it.

Its works fine on mine, i have windows 98 and when i put my sound blaster 16 in windows detected it and downloaded drivers for it and it works fine with my computer!
Gina 24 - Revalver works better
For anyone else with a Gina (or any other Echo card), try Alien Connections' Revalver. It's a bit more robust and I can get < 10 ms latency @ 96k. It sounds and acts like the real thing -- it's a LOT like Reason from Propellerheads as a multi-module, build-it-yourself program with a fancy 3D GUI. Truth be told, I couldn't get my Gina to work with DirectSound, so my Guitar FX Box experiment was tainted. The chromatic tuner works nicely. :-)

I saw your posting about the Gina. I bought one because I thought I could just plug the output from my amp (Marshall VS100 combo) directly into the Gina's input. But the volume's too low. Do I need another preamp or mixer in between?

why is the sound generated from the effector processor takes som
The output sound from the effect processor takes about 1/4 of a second to come out from my speaker after i play it. Therefore, i hear two sound, the uneffected sound and after 1/4 of a second effected sound for the guitarfx.

First, if you're in Windows, open the Windows mixer(the little yellow speaker on the taskbar) and check the mute box for for Mic or Line-in, depending on which you're using. For the delay thing, in FX Box, click the Setup button and lower the Max.I/O Delay thats a fair trade off between the actual delay between you hitting the strings and the sound actually coming out of the speakers, and the quality of the sound. Pops and clicks are not cool. Depends on your sound card. I have a Sound Blaster Live! X-Gamer 5.1 and it runs great at 10 ms, which is virtually no delay.
