Software Description
Forte Free is a smart music notation software that comes with the tools you need to create and edit scores as well as perform music. This is the smallest and free version of Forte, which is ideal for novice musicians and for those that want to try out Forte before buying the retail versions.
Forte's "forte" is its well-designed intuitive user interface that lets you spend time on actual music instead of having to learn the software itself.
According to the developers, Forte is the first music software to strike the perfect balance between infinite creativity and deceptively simple recording tools. It will let you conveniently compose original scores or edit existing MIDI files, doing all the hard work for you as it captures your creations and changes as fast as you make them. And while working, it lets you watch your music-making in real-time notation on a dynamic score.
Features:
- Single stave (Instrument)
- Insert multiple voices (up to 2)
- Add 1 lyric verse to your score
- Available meters: 2/4, 3/4, 4/4, 5/4, 2/2, 6/8, 12/8
If you've tried other notation software and you find that they did not meet your needs, you should check out the free Forte 5. It does away the long learning requirements of other notation software and makes the experience as intuitive as possible.
