Re: Recording from Cassette to CD via Computer
Go to http://www.blazeaudio.com and check out their RipEditBurn program. You can download a demo copy for trial purposes or buy for around $40. I have tried the demo program but believe their is something wrong with how I have it installed as it only worked one time. I have downloaded it and installed it several times but still have not got it to work properly. Can not seem to get the LED's to light up to indicate the level of the volume, also the screen indicates that there is some problem with the selection of the recording. If someone gets it to work then please indicate by sending an E-mail to nor@eriecoast.com
Thank you,
nor

Hi,
I use a SoundBlaster Live Value sound card, a dubbing cable I got from radio shack. The software is free (Scanner Recorder, or CyberRecorber 2000 (http://skyhawktech.com/) $20). There are other software titles.
To burn the CDs I use Eazy CD Creator.
It's VERY easy.
I actually record Internet Radio and put Wave files on CD. I can fit +-8 hours on one CD. They don't play in a reg CD player. I use them in my laptop on the road.
Good Luck,
Steve

Recording from vinyl
I've downloaded the software, plugged it in to my PC, and the sound from the turntable is coming through my PC but it won't record. Any idea on what I'm doing wrong??
Re: Recording from vinyl
Check the sound volume on your volume control on the bottom right of your windows bar (or similar depending on your sound-card). Find options- advanced on the tool bar, and select the record button.) Check that the recording levels are fine. Let me know by mail if this doesn't work.

my names todd heres how you need a jack with one end headphone and the other two male ends plug the male ends into your sterio and the head phone jack into soundcard imput now if you don't have a output on sterio just buy a jack with headphone type on both sides then plug it in the input of computer and to the headphone plugin on sterio
that should fix the problem
Re: how?

Re: how?
You have to get some leads from radio shack or best buy or someplace like that, that go from rca to STERIO mini head phone jack. Then plug the mini jack to your line in on your sound card then the rca jack plug to your reciever and you sould be good to go.
Did´nt fool me, anyway
You`re trying to fool people when we can find theese things for free?
