Software Description

CD Architect & track IDs

Trying to play the CDA 5.2 timeline of a project out the S/PDIF jack, but external recorders (CD, MD, DAT) won't increment the tracks where the track markers are in the CDA project. Have tried various expensive, pro soundcards. Everyone tells me it "should" work, but it isn't. Tips??? Thanks!

Does anyone have any clue about CD text capability with cd architect? it has fields to fill out all of the info, but no text is burned with the cd. what gives?

it works but if you're checking it with WMP the nit won't show up. Microsoft says WMP has cd text capabiliy but it isn't true.

CD Architect STILL can't Leave a disk OPEN !!

They have this bone headed problem in every version of CDA including 5.

When you burn the cd - You have NO Option to leave the disk open. So you can't add additonal data sessions for putting on MPG's lyrics - hypertext and MP3 outtakes as data. Whatta Turkey! All the effort went into duplicating mastering jazz that ALL the good DAW's ( Like CoolEdit, Cubase etc) already have ( and frankly do better) - and NO thought at all seems to have been put into the core capability of - you know - flexbility in burning the cd. If you don't know why having the choice to close the disk or not is a true important feature - then you have a job waiting on the CD Architect programming team.

Has anybody figured out how to trick this brain dead program into leaving the disk open after a DAO burn?

hello all who have been having trouble with their CD architect... what you all need is the CD architect Update from SonicFoundry - the file upgrades the recognized CD-burners databank... if you have a serial number/code for the product you can download the update from the sonicfoundry web site... however, if you dont have the code... contact me, i have both the update and the a serial number/code.

in return.. all i ask for is a copy of CD architect!! please... i fudged my version up and dont have the install disc anymore... messenger or ICQ is a great way to transfer these files.

Hi, I've spent the morning setting up my first CD architect disc
(nice program!) and I'm ready to burn. Unfortunately, I don't
see my drive in the device list. I have a Ricoh MP7040A, and
other software (such as HotBurn) is able to find it. Can does
anyone have suggestions on how to help CD Architect find
my drive? Please e-mail me responses :)

try going into the advanced settings, choose atapi mmc compatible cd/r's, then choose the scsi/ide bus which the cd writer is on, then choose the cd writer. it should work!!! i've got a ricoh 9120, and it works for me, but only on windows98!!

Create CD...I tried just about every thing I can think of...I go to "advanced" it's not there...

While I used the 1st generation CD-ReWriter Crative 4-2-24 it worked just perfectly, but then after upgrade to Mitsume 4808TE something happened. So... any workaround?

I had a 4808TE & it worked with WinME (crash-fest!), I upgraded to XP & it had no support for the Mitsumi drive. Now it won't see my TEAC 24x. I tried the advanced option thing with no luck. Also my 4.0g upgrade won't install. No wonder Sonic Foundry $hit-canned it. It's a shame though I liked using it a lot. If you have any ideas or no of a simalar prog email me.......thanks ahead of time !

Questions about cd architect and plextor drives

Hi there,

I'm a dj, and as a result i need a program that allows the user to index long wave files without inducing 2 second breaks between tracks. Since they discontinued cd architect, there is only a limited amount of older cdrw available that are supposrted by the program. My question is, has anyone tried using the newer model of plextor drives with cd architect? And, is there another program with the same capabilities. I know that Vegas video is supposed to work, but i doesn't support my yamaha (scsi) either. Thanks for the help

You can try buying Get On Cd by Steinberg. I know they sell it on amazon.com.. It costs approx. $40. You can also try www.cdwave.com. I downloaded some time ago. it worked, but I did have some complications. Good luck.

Hello friends. i trying to make a live cd with cd architect. i have an entire wav file of 600mb. i don't want gaps between songs, so i put tracks when i want to be one. i make a cd with 18 tracks. cd architect burn the cd and teel me "everithing is well" (or something like that) but when i put de cd on a cd player (any cd player) i view on the display the 18 tracks. but when i put play, the track 1 never change to track 2 until the end of the disc. and when i try to foward one track, the cd player doesn't find it. how can i can correct this? why the cd player doesn't find the tracks? i have an acer 24x4x32 cdrw the model number is CWR8432A.
I have update the firmware but nothing changes.
Please help me.

Burner support and version numbers

I have an old version of CD Architect (4.0d I believe) and I'm having some problems with my new burner. Since the plug-in is so old, it doesn't recognize this new 8x burner at all, while it recognizes my ancient 2x just fine. Is there a newer version of the plug-in that supports newer burners?

Hi Cathy. I have a hewlett packard IDE cd burner(9300 series). It only works with a computer. It's really easy to install.It connects to the cable sharing your hard drive. You put the cd you want to copy into the cdrw (burner) and it asks you if you want to make an exact duplicate or if you want to select specific songs. Then it uploads the songs off of the cd you previously put in, and holds the songs on the computer until you take the cd (with the songs on it) out of the burner. Then you drop a blank cd disc into the burner and click "o.k" and it burns the songs onto the cd via an internal laser.

I've had great success that way. I also bought a non-computer cd burner. it's a "Marantzmodel 630". I think now it's been upgraded to model 631. I bought it for $1000. Now it only costs $500. Anyway it's even easier to use and doesn't tie up your computer. You have to run wires out of your existing cd rom player into the back of it. I hope i've helped. Bye.

I have purchased the external (USB)HP 8230 CDRW. Unfortunatly when i tried from CD architect to set and select my drive it doesn detect my HP CDRW. I also tried to set it through the advanced drive selection but it did'nt work either (seems that it expected only SCSI controlers).Does this mean that CD architect is not compatible with USB CDRW's. if anyone knows what to do please help.
