Why no names come forth?
When converting from CD to mp3 and saving it in napster...i keep getting Unknown for artist name, album name,
song name....even after I fed that info when prompted by the program...anyone
know why this is occuring and what can be done to circumvent this.
Thanx

Do you mean the "CDMaster - MP3 Tag" screen? If so, then you misunderstand the purpose of that screen. It's purpose is to put the artist, ect information "inside" the MP3 file. This screen gets the data for the cd from the CDDB database which is launched when CDMaster32 detects the new CD. CDDB data is downloaded from the Internet.
(ID3v1.1)
The MP3 Tag screen will not rename the files for you.

pauses on cd after rewriting
I downloaded some songs from napster, decoded them to wav files with the cd manager, then wrote them to the blank cd. when i first downloaded the files from napster i listened to them and they were fine. However, when i put them on the cd every 10 seonds or so there is a gap in the song. i hava 4x rewriter someone mentioned to slow it down. Would this fix it? Also what is the point in simulate? should I do this always cause I didn't.

As stated in the red "Please note" area of the "insert media" screen after you click "write CD" button, you'll notice it says:
"The Shareware version of this Software will write gaps into the audio track. If this is unacceptable to you, please hit the <Cancel> button now. Buy this software today to remove this limitation."
<<Also what is the point in simulate? should I do this always cause I didn't.>>
There is a bug in V4.1 that prevents the "Simulate and Write" option from working.
This bug has already been fixed, but will not be released to the public for a few mths while we make other improvements.

As of V4.7.0.0 of CDMaster32, we no longer write audio gaps into the songs on the Shareware version. Now you can create complete CDs using CDMaster32 and play them.
Give it a try.

Converting *.wav files to *.cda?
John,
I've got a bunch of wave files that I'd like to
burn to CD. (I've already got a CD writer, duh...)
I know I can burn wave file directly to CD, but I'd
like to know if there is another format (*.cda,
perhaps) that I can convert these file into which
don't take up as much space as wave files (so I can
get more songs on the CD), or are wave files about
the best I can do?
Thanks,
Jimbot

Re: Converting *.wav files to *.cda?
Hi,
Being VERY inexperienced at this I just need to verify what needs to be done. I need to make a recording of my voice to CD that can be played on a Stereo CD Player and/or Computer CD. Would making a Wav file first and then converting it to cda allow me to do this? If not....can you advise me on how to best accomplish this?
Your help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Rae

That is basically correct.
Just make sure you record your Wav/voice in CD Quality (44.1KHz, Stereo, 16bit) or you will have trouble getting the file to burn onto an AudioCD.
While CDMaster32 has a built-in CDQuality converter, We have seen some cases where mono WAV files don't convert correctly. Stereo WAV files at different sampling rates do not show any issues with out built-in CDQuality converter.
For some more tips on creating AudioCDs with CDMaster32, see our online support topic:

Just inject the saline solution
(1 gallon of purified H2o
12 oz. salt) into the third membrane you find down the "spine".(Be very careful and only use when one(1) is present), otherwise, just grab the thin neck and squeeze - it will snap leaving the non-functional-head swaying from the "collar" bone and the others will swiftly whisk him away(though there are no "him's") and you will be safe.(If you are able to move at all) - There is a secret to disabling the paralization, though I will not cover it here.

CDMaster32 does exactly what you want.
CDMaster32 allows you to take your favorite MP3s and "decompress" them ...
then will help you put them directly onto an audio CD using a CD burner.
Hope this helps,
John
Re: Converting *.wav files to *.cda?
JimBot,
: don't take up as much space as wave files (so I can
: get more songs on the CD), or are wave files about
: the best I can do?
Basically, The AudioCD "standard" states that the audio data is in 44.1KHz Stereo raw data. There is no mechanism for "compressing" an AudioCD and
still let it play in your normal CD Player. You are limited by 74mins on a Audio CD.
This means you cannot put 300MP3s on an AudioCD because:
1) MP3s are compressed
2) Uncompressed MP3s would not allow you to put more than 19 songs on a CD or so. (you would hit the time limit)
There is no way to get more than 74minutes of music onto a regular AudioCD.
CDMaster32 allows you to take your favorite MP3s and "decompress" them ...
then will help you put them directly onto an audio CD using a CD burner.
Hope this helps,
John

You need to unzip the archive by using WinZip (or simular).
You can download Winzip from www.winzip.com.
Once unzipped, simply double click setup.exe.
