Software Description
AVIedit allows you to join and split avi files, extract frames and do whatever you want. You can capture video by number of ways, including one-frame-per-minute (web camera) option, workaround annoying 2 Gb file size limit, send your videos to printer, heavy compress it and post to your webpage.
You can change framerate, duration, frame size, color depth of your videos and other properties, even without recompression and without loss of video quality. AVIedit allows you to convert avi clips to bmp and bmp to avi, animated GIFs etc.

I have e-mailed there support and the author but no response :( I posted on thier forums and it doenst show up .
Im a registered user and I got a new pc and want to install aviedit on it.
But no one answers my questions?
aviedit is invalid under win2000
I used aviedit3.36 under windows 2000. It is a pity that the exported .avi file is invalid.

The version of Windows doesn't matter. AVIedit was designed to run fine on every PC from W95 to XP, including W2000 as well. I guess the problem was due to missing video codec or maybe file size. Without having some more information about the system and your editing steps I can't help better.

AVIedit error
I have just dl AVIedit 2 days ago for an evaluation, and in my attempt to repair an AVI file (167,806 frames) with a corrupted data at frame 27907. I open the file, using edit to select all, then save file to a HD. However, when the program was processing to 3% of the file. an AVIedit msg appear saying - not enough memory. I checked and found out that AVIedit has taken in 1.093gb of RAM and I have 1.3 gb installed. Pls advise as to what have I missed or any improper use of AVIedit.

Most likely, your file uses ODML avi format extensions. AVIedit reads only the 1st RIFF data block from such a file, and treats the rest as "next frame". It tries to allocate RAM to hold entire block at once. When its size is too big, AVIedit fails due to lack of memory. In general, you shouldn't be using ODML avi's, or convert them to compatible format first.
I only wanted one benefit
to be able to add titles and desciptions to the MANY mpgs and avis that i have. Windows Media doesn't seem to let me do that. I am using the older player from 98 as it runs much more quickly and takes much less memory.
