Native Instruments introduces updated versions of the 4-channel Traktor Kontrol S4 and the 2-channel Traktor Kontrol S2.

Aside from feel and aesthetic improvements, the DJ controllers now feature plug and play compatibility with the iOS app Traktor DJ, turning the iPad into a worthy professional DJ tool.

Both controllers retain the features that helped propel them to popularity, especially its intuitive workflow. However, Native Instruments decided to improve the hardware's aesthetic appeal, performance and durability. Compatibility with the now popular iPad is also added into the design, resulting in a versatile DJ controller.

The Traktor Kontrol S4 MK2 now comes with a sleek new design, featuring 8 color-coded RGB buttons that trigger and identify loops, cue points, and samples. This improves visual feedback, which in turn gives you improved control over your tracks and mixes. The high resolution jog-wheel were also upgraded, now with aircraft-grade aluminum to ensure increased durability and performance.

The smaller Traktor Kontrol S2 MK2 also had a "face lift", sporting RGB backlit buttons and reinforced knobs. The unit's high-resolution jog-wheel was also updated, carrying sturdy aluminum plates for increased hardware lifespan. Being compact and robust, The S2 is the ideal hardware controller for DJs that utilize the iOS-based Traktor DJ software.

The advanced Flux Mode feature was also improved and is now instantly accessible on the Kontrol S4 and S2 via dedicated buttons on each deck. Traktor Pro 2's Remix Decks controls are now conveniently accessible through the two updated DJ controllers.

Like the previous version, the new Kontrol S4 and S2 comes with a built-in 24 bit/96 kHz soundcard. And they carry over all the essential controls to make controlling Traktor Pro 2 software intuitive and straightforward. Compatibility with Traktor DJ expands the scope of the hardware controllers to cover professional DJs that prefer lightweight tablets over bulky and expensive computers and laptops.

For quick setup and great out-of-the-box experience, the S4 and S2 are bundled with a professional DJ software for Mac and Windows - Traktor Pro 2. This software offers powerful cue, loop, and sampling functions, a suite of over 30 effects, pro-grade EQs, and fluid playback control of up to 4 decks. It also comes with Native Instrument's Remix Decks technology, which lets you edit samples in real-time, allowing for even more creative freedom and possibilities.

Both controllers also now boast flawless integration with the Traktor DJ app for iPad and iPhone. The controllers will let you control the app's 2-channel mixer, 3-band equalizers, and eight effects, allowing you to craft professional mixes with less bulk.
