Reason 8.3 Update
Propellerhead updates Reason to version 8.3, adding the new RV7000 mkII convolution reverb along with other user requested features.
This new update improves on Reason's ability to inspire creativity and streamline the songwriting process. It provides worthwhile effects that are meant to help you create your own sound and improves on the software's workflow and interface for improved productivity.
The most noteworthy addition that Reason 8.3 brings is the new RV7000 MkII convolution reverb plug-in. It is an upgraded version of the original RV7000, Reason's popular reverb effect, turning it into a featured packed convolution reverb. With this update, you can access the company's expertly sampled library of rooms that will let you add space and dimension to your music.
You can use this plug-in to add genuine sounding space into your tracks, from small crawlspaces and bathrooms, to essential studio rooms, and even through bigger spaces like grand auditoriums, stairwells and more. A new ReFill is now available, featuring Propellerhead's favorite Impulse Response content gathered from the web, and they also added in some unique samples like the inside of a piano, a Eurorack spring reverb and more.
In addition to the many supplied impulse responses, you can create your own reverb effects by actual sampling of the room or loading your own impulse responses. For further tone shaping, it even comes with parametric EQ and gate control. The most common use for this effect is for percussion tracks like claps and drum loops.

Another important improvement added to Reason v8.3 is the ability to utilize Reason's browser virtually anywhere while you're using the software. You can now access the browser directly in a detached rack window, as requested by many Reason users.
Another requested feature that makes it debut in this version is the streamlined quick zoom function. By pressing the Z key, you can now quickly zoom from birds-eye view to close up and vice versa. This lets you quickly make detailed edits without losing track of the big feature, and will save quite a lot of time when arranging and editing. Finally, you can now select what device receives your master MIDI controller input directly from the rack, without having to go to the sequencer.See the video below for a quick rundown of the update highlights:
