Pioneer DJM-2000nexus DJ Mixer
Pioneer introduces the new DJM-2000nexus DJ Mixer, now featuring Remix functions and a touch screen control panel.
This new DJ mixer still carries the same layout and features as its predecessor - the DJM-2000, while adding new features like Beat Slice and Sync Master.
These new features are added in response to the various needs of the various modern DJ styles. The Beat Slice Function allows tracks to be sliced and arranged in real time while the Sync Master feature allows full control of track beats being played from connected audio players. The new Pro DJ Link feature lets you connect multiple media players to give you more freedom on where your track is stored or played from. Physical aspects of the controller like its channel fader was also improved along with its overall sound quality.
The most prominent improvement found on the DJM-2000nexus is its Beat Slice feature that is controlled via a touch screen panel. Using the touch screen, you can create, edit and play track slices in real time, allowing for expressive and unique track control for your live performances.
Although it inherits the same audio design as its predecessor, the audio circuit clock comes with a low-jitter crystal oscillator along with noise reduction for improved sound reproduction. Pioneer assures that high quality components were used for both the output and send/return ports.
The DJM-2000nexus comes with a new peak limiter that lets you playback master output tracks while limiting distortion even while maxing output sound levels. This helps prevent audio delays and limits track distortion naturally without affecting clarity and rhythm of tracks.
Since DJs need to have cool looking gear, this new mixer comes with improved looks that matches the CDJ-2000nexus model. It comes with chrome plated knobs along with a white LED for the beat button.
Other features include LAN terminals that will let you connect up to 4 multiple players and up to 2 computers at the same time. Built in USB Audio interface, Switchable 3 band EQ and 3 band isolater, digital input terminals per channel, Talk Over, Peak level meter for all channels, Cross fader assign, cross faders, “Fader Curve Adjust” function that allows the cross fader and channel fader curve to be changed, and finally the “Auto Standby Function” that switches the power to standby mode when there is no operation or input for a certain period of time.
The Pioneer DJM-2000nexus is set to start shipping within this month with an MSRP of $2,999. Pioneer will also make a firmware upgrade available for owners of the older DJM-2000 unit, giving their units the firmware-based changes found on the DJM-2000nexus.
