Avid's Michael Price Summer School Series
Avid brings TV and film producer Michael Price for a Q&A video series, he will be giving professional composing and recording advice.
This is a great opportunity to ask your questions and get advice from an experienced professional composer. All you have to do is ask your relevant questions and Avid will get Michael to respond via another video. Since this is an Avid offering, you can also get tips on creating songs using Sibelius and Pro Tools.
Michael Price is an in-demand producer, arranger and music programmer. Having worked with more than 30 major films, his experience makes him all the more popular as a composer and producer. Some of his notable projects include Event Horizon, Sherlock, Band of Brothers just to name a few. He also helped as a music editor in big films such as "The Lord of the Rings" trilogy, Richard Curtis’ "Love Actually", "Bridget Jones: The Edge Of Reason" and "Nanny McPhee".
The Michael Price Summer School Series is expected to run for five sessions and began last Tuesday, July 17th. The succeeding episodes are scheduled to run every Tuesday at around 9:00 am PDT, with the last session streaming on August 14, 2012.
Each time an episode goes live, you have 48 hours to submit your own questions. Every following Tuesday, Avid will be posting Michael's video responses to some of the questions, which you can find on their website and on their Avid for Students Facebook page.
As if free professional advice and learning is not enough, Avid decided to give away a copy of Sibelius 7 or Pro Tools 10 to a lucky participant.
