Antares Audio Technologies unveils Auto-Tune Live, a pitch correction and pitch effect plugin optimized for real-time performance and tracking.

Auto-Tune Live is based on the popular pitch correction software Auto-Tune. It brings features that are fine tuned for live performance and studio tracking, with emphasis on instant response and real-time control.

Many artists and engineers have been setting up Auto-Tune to be somewhat useful for live performances. This software is Antares' response to that need. It is designed to be a real-time tool for correcting pitch errors, you can also use it to modify the intonation of a performance or producing the popular Auto-Tune Vocal Effect.

Marco Alpert, Antares VP of Marketing was quoted saying: "With the trend to using Auto-Tune during tracking, we've been hearing from many of our professional Auto-Tune users that they'd really like a full-featured real-time Auto-Tune plugin with minimal latency. With Auto-Tune Live, we've focused on meeting that need, as well as offering enhanced MIDI features for a new level of real-time performance control."

This plugin prioritizes low-latency performance, it allows you to get virtually instant pitch correction when performing or tracking. These features will be specially useful if you want to apply vocal pitch effects during your performance. If you don't want the "robotic" sounding pitch corrections, the Live version comes with a "Humanize" function, to give the pitch correction a softer and more realistic sound. You can even control or modify your vibrato with the Natural Vibrato feature, where in you can change the depth of vibrato in real-time.

Aside from its pitch changing capability, the software also comes with good real-time MIDI controller compatibility. Just get a MIDI keyboard or MIDI floor controller and you can apply or modify your Auto-Tune effect as you perform. You can also target specific notes via the MIDI control, you can define pitch targets in real-time during live performance. All these control features will allow you to add dynamically changing and organic sounding effects to your music.

Other features are added to the already impressive Auto-Tune Live, you get an automatic formant correction and Antares’ unique Throat Modeling technology which lets you control details such as the singer's vocal timbre.

Auto-Tune Live is currently available in RTAS and VST3 for PC users, while Mac users can have the RTAS, VST3, and Audio Unit compatible versions. The VST3 and Audio Unit versions are 64-bit compatible.
