Back in October you may recall that we told you about the Alternative Christmas Tune Competition organized by Audio-Technica.

The competition is now closed. They tell me they received more than 40 entries covering various musical genres and concepts.

Instead of just choosing a winner Audio-Technica have complied a shortlist of the best six videos determined their our judge Steve Levine, Grammy & Brit award-winning record producer and chairman of the Music Producers Guild.

Regarding the competition overall and the entries submitted, Steve Levine commented: “I was really impressed with the standard and variety of the entries to the Alternative Christmas Tune competition. From the quirky to the carefully crafted, the tracks demonstrated again what a breadth of musical talent the UK has to offer. It made the shortlisting process very tough, but great fun. And whoever is voted into the top spot will be a worthy winner.”
